Time is a human construct, right?
Then what's to stop us from manipulating it however we want, even at the cost of all that fits with 'common sense'?

This story aims to answer those questions .

Okay.  Thanks.

I know that pretty well already.  Of the classical elements, though.

Hello and welcome!

Question: Air, Earth, Fire, or Water?

Looking for Loop Advice on 5/13/2013 11:03:08 PM

Having recently arrived, I've begun work on a story, and due to the temporal-rewind nature of the story there's going to be a certain amount of looping back to prior pages.  However, from beginning to read through other stories on the site and comments given to the stories, I also know that poorly done looping does not reflect well on a story.

As the story has to do with making changes in the prior choices, I've also considered making duplicate pages which look like ones the player already visited but lead elsewhere because they've been there (or then) before.

This might not be making much sense, since it has to do with manipulating time within a story.  However, if it does make sense...well, I'd like your opinions.  You're the voices of experience and I could really use help on this point.

Please advise soon.  Not that I'm rushing, but sooner is better.

Touché.  Well played.

Thanks.  Just wish there were more points on it, but like I said procrastination is something I'm good at...unfortunately...

How about "no"?  Besides, duct tape would work better.

Thanks out to all three of you (or however many by this time).  Glad to have such a warm welcome.

I will consider it done.  Chrono is fine.

As for the questions, I suppose I would go with Penguin, and...second one is a harder choice...fire, but ice is close.

Saves time, right?  Or was it nine stitches?  Well, it saves time either way, whether it's one stitch or nine.

I digress!  To the intro.

Hello to the CYS/MAG//etc. community!  I am Strike.  Or Jaye.  Or Silver.  Whichever works best and isn't already claimed.  I've read and enjoyed Choose Your Own Adventure books (and other, non-liscenced stories) for many years, because, quite simply, I wanted to relate to the adventure better.  I'm also an amateur writer and seemingly a professional procrastinator.  Write about transformations, confusing temporal circumstances, and anthropomorphic animals among other things.  Past that, my story is a story for another time and place.

Best wishes and regards to you all, and here's to a long and happy stay on my part.
