Shooters, specifically FPSes, and action. Team Fortress 2 tops my list, followed closely by the Mass Effect series. Honourable mentions include Skyrim, CS:GO and the Just Cause series.

But I agree...if you're a lazy ass player like me Steam is fine, but if you really want that combination of premium mods that'll give you the Skyrim experience you want, having Nexus downloaded is quite essential.
