Lowdown: You were born and currently live in the northwest nation of Ritania, in the city of Wavez. Ritania is one of many lands within the nation of Nook. The year is 313. Humans have been around since the beginning of time. Times are similar to the 1400s and 1500s on earth.

The island of Nook is the biggest island in the broken kingdom of Fluctia. Three additional islands reside in the sea kingdom: Claef, Starx, and Drak. These four islands are the only pieces of land in an eternal ocean. Once you leave the kingdom of Fluctia, it is almost certain that you will not see it again, traveling the endless ocean, forever lost.

In the nation of Nook, the magical creatures have chosen one of two opposing sides, and the rift between them is becoming deeper each day. Centaurs, unicorns, and hippogriffs make up one side of the fight while the opposing side consists of mermaids, dragons, minotaurs, and griffins. The rift began with the breaking of a treaty. The Genesis Treaty was made between the seven leagues (each group of the same creatures is called a league) at the beginning of time. For three hundred years, the nation was peaceful. That was until the treaty was broken in the year 300.

Death and disaster has become the norm in a nation that was once tranquil and harmonious. You can choose to bridge and reconcile the rift between the creatures or escape from their wrath and save your own hide. Your decisions determine what becomes of the ancient nation.
