Fate of Artilas

Dark and evil forces are moving to take over the world. You alone hold the fate of the world in your hands. Will save the land and become a glorious hero to forever be remembered, or will you embrace the approaching darkness and watch as the world burns around you? The choice is yours! --Author's Note-- 1.) This is just a short story so that I could get used to the advanced editor and using of the items so it won't be that long. 2.) There are 2 endings. One is good and one is bad. You will have to do some exploring to find the good ending.

Genesis

Your name is Gabriel Smith and you are a Terran mech piliot. The evil and corrupt Lichan Empire has put into motion their plan for global domination. You alone can stop them, but is that what you really want to do? The choice is ultimately yours. Ver. 2 (Fixed several spelling errors and made the story advanced. Several pictures added.) -----Author's Notes----- 1.) I take no credit for any pictures in this story. All I take credit for is the writing of the story. 2.) The assault rife serves no purpose for the game. It is mainly just for show.

Quarantine

The zombie apocalypse is upon us! The dead have started to rise in the city of Amber Falls. The military, in a desperate attempt to stop the spread of the infected, have quarantined the city. Your name is John Watson, a police officer. You are unaware of the zombies until you receive a distress call from your wife who works in Amber Falls. In an attempt to rescue her you rush toward the city. Can you make your way into the city, rescue your spouse, and make it out alive? Let’s find out. Ver. 2 - (I changed the game into an advanced game and also corrected many spelling and grammer errors.) -----AUTHOR'S NOTES----- 1.) All pictures in this story belong to their rightful owners. I take no credit for nothing other than the writing of this story. 2.) There are really no uses for the pistol and the shotgun. They are mainly just for looks.

Roman

You are Marcus Romilia, a veteran soldier of mighty Rome. You enlisted at the age of 18 and have served through numerous military campaigns. You are now 25 years old. The Emperor of Rome has declared that he is sending a legion of 6,000 soldiers to the north in an attempt to take over Celtic lands. These barbarians have long opposed Roman expansion. Your emperor has decided to send the 6th legion to crush these defiant tribes. You have been a member of the 6th legion ever since you joined the military. Your commanding officer instructs you to say goodbye to any loved ones you may have, because the legion marches north in three days. Ver 1.5 (I fixed the item drop problem. It now drops items automatically.) -----Author's Note----- 1.) You must take all three weapons on the first page and you must use one on the second page for the story to continue. 2.) There are three different engings to the game, but there are several death endings throughout the story. 3.) This game is hard. It was made that way. Armor of the Dragon

The world of Gaia is a majestic place full of strange creatures and a powerful force called magi. Magi is the force that keeps Gaia alive and prospering. Magi has always been used by the wizards of the land for various things, but recently they have found a new use for it. They use the Magi to enchant and power giant mechanical beings known only as armors. These armors are used by the king to enforce his laws and to fight his private wars. The magi gives these armors use of weaponry far beyond the technology of the time. The king himself has forged a very unique armor called Dragon Armor. This armor was created by a legendary dragon and is almost invincible to everything. The dragon created two sets of the armor, but she only gave the king one set. The king wanted both and was furious when the dragon refused to give him the other set. In an act of rage, the king killed the dragon with his newly acquired armor. The location of the 2nd Dragon Armor died with the dragon. It is said that the 2nd Dragon Armor is the only armor that can destroy the kings. Do you have what it takes to find the armor and save the land from the tyrant king? Let's find out.

Kingless

Bethea is known as the lawless land, a once friendly and peaceful mountain valley under the protection of the great King Asper has now fallen into violence and chaos with the King's untimely death. Five powerful Barons still hold power over the land, but their struggle for the crown is on a path that will lead to a violent and bloody war. That being the case, there will be no peace until one of these Barons takes the crown and restores peace and order to the lawless land. -----Author's Note----- 1.) All pictures used in this story belong to their respected owners. I take no credit for anything except the writing of this story. 2.) The first part of "Kingless" is kind of linear. Once you get past the first couple of pages though it really opens up. The first few pages are just to get the background set and introduce you to the characters. 3.) There are several secrets scattered throughout the story. You will have to play more than once to find them all. Ex. Some items may only be able to be used once per game, but they can be used in several different spots throughout the story. 4.) If you find yourself low on gold, then you can go search some nearby dungeons. Check the tavern for gossip on where these dungeons might be. Just remember that dungeons are always dangerous. 5.) Enjoy the story!

I live in Alabama also and I have always said nock so I dont thing it's a regional thing. I know people that say notch too so i think its just a personal preference.

Me and two of my friends pitched in and bought a box to do a booster draft. I personally loved the set. New Phyrexia was a great way to finish the block. I pulled Karn in one of my packs and my friend got Phyrexian Obliterator ,which he traded to me later for some of my other cards.

I was extremley lucky to have two comeback wins in a row. I def. dont think that my luck will last if fergie gets ahead of me 3-1. Still beating her would be sweet seeing as how she is the RPS Queen lol.

I personally like the back button. I agree with the above posters about it being a life saver when you play a long game and then come to an abrupt ending. It would really make be po'ed if I had to start the whole game over again based on one death. I remember the old CYOA books and I'm sure some of you do too. The same applied to them. When I flipped to a page where I died, I didn't begin the book all over again. I just went back to the previous page. I understand you don't like allowing the reader to cheat, but cheating has been a part of CYOA's forever.

Haha dang. I was hoping this would erase a little bit of shame for my failure to enter at IS. O well, I am 100% this one will be done by Aug 1st. ( Im loving the fallout comparision by the way End.)

So I just got done fixing spelling and grammer errors in Quarantine. I had no idea how many there actually were lol. I'm a little embarassed by it. I also changed it into an advanced game somewhat. There are now pictures. I'm planning on going back over my other stories and fixing all errors in them also after I get done with my entry for the contest.
