Thanks for the suggestion, but it's already been covered by this thread in the Accepted section of the FWW.

A player can already do that by choosing not to use the back button.
Assistance: Romance on 6/17/2013 1:58:18 PM
The easiest way to write a good romance story is to keep it simple. Look at Snow, or to a lesser extent a lot of the other romance storygames on this site - you'll notice that love in real life is so much more complex. Keeping it simple keeps things pretty. That doesn't mean love can't be beautiful outside of stories - of course it can be - but it's a lot harder to write an involved love story than a simple one.
What makes a good Zombie Apocalypse story? on 6/11/2013 1:23:26 PM
Moved this to the Writing Workshop. I'm not familiar with that many zombie stories, but there are a couple of things that come to mind when talking about what makes a good one. First - you have to have believable characters and decisions that force you to think twice about what you would do. For example, if the characters are believable you're going to have a much harder time leaving them to die than if the author has been lazy with them. The other important thing is to be realistic. Obviously you don't have to be too realistic - I mean it's a zombie story for heaven's sake - but if the protagonist previously struggled to kill one zombie and then effortlessly kills seven at once later on it'll detract from the story. Exaggerated example but you know what I mean. If you're realistic you can create an anxious atmosphere - a sense of danger that draws the reader into the story. That's my two cents anyway, based on what I've played on CYS and the 2.5 zombie movies I've seen (I'm too chicken to watch more).

Just a heads up, I only feature comments on storygames that I have read (which is why some of the above suggestions have no reply by me). Having said that, the next storygames I will be reading are the ones with featured comment suggestions, so chances are I'll get to the ones here pretty soon.
The Council on 6/7/2013 7:43:02 AM
There will be no council for banning members. Admins will handle that. I've put forward some criteria for being nominated and the responsibilities of councillors in MC. It's kinda similar to what Ugi has above except with some notable differences, but I don't want to say anything yet in case the other admins want to change something. Just waiting on replies now.

Duly noted. And yes... that's what I just said.

Thanks for bringing it up - it's not a bug with the site. I wrote both articles when I was thirteen. Similar to my posts and storygame comments back then, these were a source for major embarrassment. They also contained misinformation (eg. Writing and Editing Tips claimed that bold, italics, and underline were aspects of grammar). I edited both articles to show blank pages a couple of months ago with the intention of rewriting them later.

Yep! I don't have the power to award points to members so whenever I feature comments I send a PM to JJJ detailing which comments I've featured (and if someone suggested the comment then that user's name too). Your points should show up next time JJJ reads his PMs.
