Take the roll of John Adams, an Able Seaman working aboard the HMS Bounty in 1789 on its way to Tahiti for a routine mission. But mutiny strikes the crew on the long voyage.
Make the decision to be loyal to Captain Bligh and be sent adrift with him. Or join in the mutiny with Lieutenant Fletcher Christian and escape the British navy to an uncharted, tropical island. Avoid cannibals, starvation, storms, imprisonment, and survive revolutions.

Be careful of the decision you make, as they could be essential in shaping the future of a nation.

This is the story of the HMS Bounty, the mutiny that happened aboard it, and the desperate survival of captain and mutineers alike.

I'm quite glad I stumbled across this as I was thinking of writing a similar story about the same things, though the idea of using Adams as a narrator was a clever one. There should have been a few more choices; the troubles on the Bounty began with Bligh's decision to sail around Cape Horn instead of the Cape of Good Hope and his subsequent promotion of Fletcher at John Fryer's expense so that might have been a good place to start picking sides. The writing was consistently strong throughout, though at times it did feel more like witnessing than taking part in history, a few little extra details and less use of specific dates goes a long way towards making history feel like a living experience. I enjoyed this a lot though and with such a good story-game about the Mutiny on the Bounty out there it would be pointless of me to write another.

I enjoyed this. I did cheat on some of the decisions, but I think that was the right idea - it's good to envision a life of island bliss. I would recommend playing this.

Nicely paced story. I like the brief but effective descriptions...best are the waters and the islands and the plants. Interesting way to learn history.

Pretty lengthy and well written. A lot more of a story than a CYOA but it's worth a read.
