Is there a way to have the link go to a different chapter, click a few links there, then when you are done, go back to the previous chapter(that you were originally at), and to whatever page you were on before? Without using an item?

Going to the chapter is just picking the page number you want the link to go to with $DEST := @Pxx (where xx is your page number).

Yep, just do that without the item (just use a link instead).

So instead use a link to the chapter instead of an item?
