I buy it in large boxes full of packs, but that sounds accurate. I can only find ramen with "crap" in it in those microwavable trays, but I normally throw the extras out lol. I normally just boil some water, dump in some ramen noodles, cook for 3-5 minutes, and add the seasoning then stir. That way I can eat it like soup!

I actually preferred the first. ME2 assumed you played the rogue part, I know most RPGs have to do that, but they killed Rex! (what was the Krogan's name?) Also, the first was just more entertaining, even if the second had more independant factors.
I have to agree that Saren was a cooler villain than a...huh...there was no individual villain in the second one, just the collectors (and the final boss fight, but you never met him or got to know his persona until just in the end, and you didn't really get to know his persona then either).
PBM thinks villains are the characters that shape a story the most.
The game was great, for sure, but without the villain, the hero does nothing, because generally what he does is follow whatever it is the villain does and stops him (this is not obsolete by the way), but if there was no hero and just a villain, the story would essentially be the same, only the villain probably wins in the end. The plot would still be there.
Of course, my villains are usually like this...in one way or another. What I feel is important is if the one viewing the story feels he/she would do the same thing the villain did, if he/she was in the same position. But the villain still has to be villainous, at least to some extent. I don't know how to respond to that, villains that are completely evil in every way can be good as well.
Depends on the game. If the game is completely RPG, where you can pick your own battles, actions, and personality (ME is like that, but lacks the battles portion) like Fallout, you don't really need it. But if you build a game like ME, its not needed.

Needed? Maybe not, but if I understand what you're saying correctly (and I'm not entirely sure that I do), then I think a story without a villain would be better if one was included.

I mean that ME absolutely needed a villian because that's what the storyline demanded. Fallout, on the other hand, made their game so that you can do whatever you want within their game's programming, you don't need a common villian for the game to be entertaining.
