I'm working on a forum game and need around four people to test some things out for me.

I would appreciate anybody who would be willing to help. If you know how to play d&d you are perfectly qualified.

I need to test the challenge rating on an encounter and test out a mechanic that could be allot of fun.

Are you guys familiar with roll20? I barely know how to use it myself, which is one of the things I want to work on, but that is where I'm testing the encounter.

If you want to help make a level 8 character, no background or anything like that needed, in one of the following classes:

Barbarian, Fighter, or Ranger. For ability scores, you have 72, assign them as you wish. This tool should help: (Give yourself 10 times the gp it gives you.)

I've got two characters so far. Thank you guys! I need at least one more person. After that we need to figure out a time this week we can be on at the same time to run the encounter. I'm in no rush to get that started though. I need to be comfortable enough with all the mechanics to run it smoothly.

That makes four. Just a couple of fixes and I'll have all the characters. I will then play the characters in a few mindless death matches to get a feel of the mechanics and feats you guys chose. Then we will have the encounter. I'm getting stoked guys.

Well, I wasted more time than I care to admit, but, I finished all the characters. Going to do one last look over tomorrow, and include the armor check penalties I forgot. :l

I'm building the encounter right now. Roll20 didn't have the kind of tokens I needed so I'm having to improvise.

Friday's good for me. Any time from 7 PM to 1 AM, EST.

good Friday from 7AM to 230PM PST  I could get on from about  7PM to 10PM PST

Cool, did you mean PDT? the western United states currently observes Pacific daylight time, not pacific standard time.

Honestly I consider PST and EST just the names for their respective timezones. I don't really pay too much attention to the switch between PST and PDT, since it really makes no difference if you're just wondering what timezone they're in.

Unless I'm horribly wrong, we are all observing daylight saving time right now correct? If so

 7:00 PM - 1:00 AM EDT = 6:00 PM - 12:00 AM CDT

7:00 PM - 10:00 PM PDT = 9:00 PM - 12 AM CDT

SO:

I am looking at a time between 9:00 PM and 12:00 AM.

I still need to find out when Bo and Killa will be available.

For everyone besides Ugi, I'm on CST for anyone who's wants to know what time I'm talking about. I'll be touring a campus university Friday, but I should be back before it gets dark, so I might be open to it.

Actually Bo, we are on CDT right now. On November 14 we will return to CST.

Really sorry to have missed this... I came home from work, fell into bed, and slept for about 16 hours. Anyway, if you decide you want to run it again, I'd be in. Hopefully for real this time. :/

The next thing I want to do is test a jousting mechanic. We can do that right here in the forums. 4 NPC's will be participating along side your characters to have an 8 person tournament.

Anyone other than cool interested in this? It won't be dynamic or anything. You decide on your target and you roll a die, then repeat for a couple rounds till there is a winner. With that said, I think to handle the die rolls either I would have to do them myself, or we could do them at roll20.

If your doing this tomorrow I am sorry but I cannot do it. I am visiting my sick grandmother and it may be the last time I see her. Hope you understand.

I'm in. By jousting, is it literally riding at each other with lances? If so, I'm happy I have ride and handle animal skills :)

I know I didn't actually make it, but I did make a character for the original scenario. Unless I'm missing something, I don't see how there are 4 PCs if 'Ulch' isn't one of 'em. :P

Will any skills and saves apply to jousting? I can see riding as a definately, MAYBE handle animal, if only to keep it from panicking, fortitude to keep from being knocked off, and dexterity to hit the target with strength to determine how much of the lance breaks. Not a whole lot reflex when you need to stay in one spot :P

You pegged allot of it. It uses BAB, AC, Ride, Tumble, and a couple other things.

When I get ahead of schedule again, or when I reach the day allotted to testing the Jousting system. Whichever comes first.

Cool, I'll tell you what I tell others. You don't need to remind the GM that his game exists. Bumping is useless, as Ugi will post when he has an update. Trust me, it's gonna take a while, it's pretty complex.

I was mostly bumping so that I didn't lose the thread but I do realize your statement above is true.
