Heaven and Hell have fought to a standstill, with great losses to both sides. Now, the devil has proposed a deal... a way to settle the war once and for all. Will Heaven accept his challenge? And if they do... can they win it? Or has the devil stacked the deck in his own favor?

OOC: This is the continuation of Between the Worlds VIII - Hellbound. Anyone in Hell should post to that thread; those returning to or otherwise arriving at the tavern should post here instead.

Heaven had made a deal with the Devil. Countless of worlds have fallen and to prevent more from falling, they had to oblige. The war came to a standstill and was to be settled in a series of duels. 7 of Heaven's mightiest against 66 of Hell's spawn and the Devil himself.

OOC: Can the players in hell pm me whether they would like to participate? Also, Don't reply to this post so I can edit it.

OOC: Alright, seeing how the thread don't have enough players, I'll have to settle for 7 character so Let's begin.

The chosen few of the Heaven's forces was teleported away with no warning. Whatever they were doing was halt instantly and carried over to the Arena of the Devil... Even those unaware of what they are getting into

Michael, Gabriel and Raphael had prepared for this. Their essence charged to the max, equipped with the strongest equipment in Heaven and blessed with water from the fountain of Beginning. They were not surprised when they were teleported from the fortress in which they had conquered.

Michael look around and notices several of those from the tavern. They were chosen as well...!

OOC: Let's assume that your character do not know what is going on and was chosen without their will unless you would like it otherwise. To Aman, I'll leave it up to you if you would like Keith to join in, otherwise I'll substitute Keith with a random hero from a random world.

Jack is ssuddenly teleported to the arena. "What?" Jacl says as he looks around. Jack is seen carrying a new blade, in a sheath. He looks around and notices the angels.

"I was just buying a new blade! you had to call me now? I didn't pay for it yet!" Jack says looking more amused then annoyed. 

Keith has also appeared but he looks like he just got into a big fight. "Huh? What's going on? where is Angela?" he asks before he notices the angels. "Oh, so we get to do some duels heh, I gues she's gonna have to fight by herself for now." 

"Wait, Angela?" Jacl asks looking upset. "What are you planning Keith?" Jacl mutters as he takes out his blade. It glows with a radiance that is similar to is last sword, but it seems longer as if it was ment for range fighting as well.

The Arena was the size of a football field and it felt rather empty due to the fact there was less than a hundred creatures in it. However, the pressure within the Arena was huge, it was like gravity was increased by ten fold in this place.

The 66 Disciples of the Devil has already arrived and, surprisingly, not all of them are demons. Some composed of Dark-Elves, Humans and worse still, Draconian. A voice suddenly booms across the Arena.

Welcome... to my Playground. As per the contract with me and the accursed Heaven, 66 of my handpick disciple shall face off with 7 of heaven's mightiest. The last one standing shall face me unless, very unlikely, more than one survives. This may seem unfair pitting 66 against 7 but what the heck, I'm suppose to be the Devil. And so, Let the fight begin!

OOC: Alright, this is how it goes. You can let your character choose how many they want to fight (Don't be cocky and choose to fight too many as each 66 will be controlled by me and if needed though hopefully not, we'll duel, using rock-paper-scissors,  to settle the fight) and they will clash it out.

OOC: Seriously? 30 each? Well, you get what you ask for.

Really? You mortals sure know how to look down on other creatures... Go my disciples! Destroy the Mortals!

Nick was bombarded by a series of explosion by the Draconian. The 10 of them each possesses a unique ability given by the Devil. They lunged towards Nick, claws out and slash, forcing him to go on the defense. One of them uses fire breath and another started to construct Golem out of rocks and flames.

Acton had demons, Draconian and Dark elves fighting against him. The Dark Elves are buffing their allies and cursing Acton with dark spells taught by the Devil. The Draconian took the offensive and engage Acton in melee combat while the Demon fought from a distant using magic blasting spells. 5 Draconian, 10 Dark Elves and 5 Demon.

Acton's Curse - Restriction of Mana, Weakening, Slow petrification

Keith was having a harder time. With 15 dark elves, the strain of curse was larger. The Draconian are probably the strongest in terms of strength amongst the three races. With buff enhancing their every senses, they became mightier. Each punch or slash could easily break steel. Not only that, the Dark Elves begin shooting dark homing energy bolt and blast immediately after the buffing and cursing.

Keith's Curse - Mana Overload (Overload you cyber parts with Mana to disable you), Soul Link (If the Dark Elf that cast this die, you die, same as the last time with the Devil), Perception Down (All range attacks fail more easily and melee attacks don't do as much damage)

As for Jack, he was the luckier one. The Demons alone are probably easier for him, seeing how much holy energy he possess... until the Devil decides to help out a little. The Demons were smaller than the others, nearly the size of the tall human. They do not possess wings and yet are able to fly. Their mana are all compact within their body, allowing them to cause destructive attacks. One of them laughs while some other snickers, right before suddenly appearing in front of Jack and throwing a punch enhance by the Devil - it broke the Sound Barrier

Keith feels the mana erupting in his circuts. It slows down his movement speed, and it makes his left arm practically useless. His eyes are moving faster the usual, and are sending information through his brain at high speed. Thankfully for keith, his brain has a high level of multi-tasking from his childhood. His right arm is unaffected, and his blade shines from the over flow of mana. His right arm has been using the blade to deflect all of the homing missles, though some of the explosions hit Keith anmd he takes damage. 

"Heh, I suppose the curses are to be removed before getting to far into the battle." Keith says as Nano-Bots go all over his body. He raises his hand towards one of the draconians, and says "Youll do for now, I suppose" as Nano-Bots fly over to the draconian covering his body and ripping off skin.

Jack took the punch and is blasted back. His armor is seemingly dented, and jack jumps towards one of the daemons slashing him with the new sword. As the blow goes, holy energy encompasses the arena, seemingly overflowing.

Nick had been on the defensive waiting for his demon form to be unleashed. Thinking "Come on, Come on Come on!!"  Then the change hits him as it starts to happen he uses his fire and ice blades to create a shield around him for the few seconds it takes to change.

Now in his fully demonic form nick starts shooting lava at the golem construct and starts using the shadows to his advantage.

Acton Knows immidetly what curses the Dark Elves put on him. He then says a holy spell from his tribe to make him and the area around him neutral ground.  Know the Elves will soon counter act that. He summons a creature of fire to burn them as he draws his blade and begins to counter attack the Draconian's. He had trained his entire life for this battle and was not about to be defeated so easily. Sensing a devil spell rocketing at him he shoves a Draconian into the way.

Neutral ground- spells that specifically take magic from dark forces or light forces do not work here. Which is why he can still use summoning spells because it is not grounded in either.

The Archangels and 6 of the remaining disciples had decide to wait and watch.

Keith - The Scale of the Draconian was being assimilated by the Nano-bots however with a breath of fire, the nano- bots was no more. Four of the other Draconian lunge toward Keith at each side, launching a blast of their own fused with curse-like effects. The Dark Elves continues to shoots more bolts of energy, increasing the quantity and the quality.

Jack - The Devil was no where to be seen yet his presence was clearly felt. The holy energy was negate by a sudden increase in dark energy, most probably due to the Devil intervene. Jack's blade was caught by one hand, the holy energy burning the Demon's hand but he endured... before 2 more demons gave him another two punches that broke the sound barrier.

Nick - The Draconian was surprise by the shadows and merely shrug it off. It was a pain in the ass but they have absolute confidence in their dragonskin and the power-up given to them by the Devil. One of them suddenly disappeared, turning invisible and was no where to be seen while the rest continues to attack Nick. They had no tactics and was seemingly just attacking Nick without stopping.

Acton - Acton's fire spirit engaged the Elves but not all of them.  3 of the Dark Elves took care of the creature while the rest negates the neutral zone. The Draconian that was shove in the way was hit by the spell and thoroughly damaged and was teleported away to the Demon to be healed up. One of the draconian spat fireball at Acton while another slash him with flaming claws. A demon attempts to use black energy and summons chain made out of Black Matter to bind Acton while other Demons shoots him with Demonfire.

Wait they are allowed to be healed by the demon? FUCK

Nick was getting annoyed at the brute force being shoved at him. It wasn't even hurting him but was annoying. He used his portal authority to shut down all portals around him. Hopefully preventing the teleporting trick. He then used his  demon blades second ability calling forth warriors of Fire Ice and Lava to fight along side him. Using a Claw he rips off the face of one of the Draconian and ueses another Draconian Shadow to crawl up his skin and take contoral of his body turning him on his comrades.

Acton is having a ruff time of it. The curse was lifted but he was still tiring. He starts using the Draconian soldiers as shields having them being maneuvered into the way of there allies spell. He blocks the fire claw with his sword and the fire get sucked into the blade. His fire spirit being defeated he knows he has a chance to get out his most powerful creature drawing a summoning circle on the back of his had another Golem is summoned. This golem is 10ft tall holding a 6ft great sword in one hand and a 4ft buckler in the other. His skin is made of the toughest substance in all of the universes and is almost impervious to any spell. His shield is made of the same and His sword emits a strange glow. Upon coming out he slashes at 2 Draconian warrors.

The Draconian that was controlled forcibly petrify himself to prevent being control while the one that got his face ripped off simply drop dead and the rest started using the ability given to them. One of them started to Negate Nick's power over shadow and another call forth multiple lighting elemental spirits. The invisible Draconian had snuck up behind Nick and launch a slash using his claw at the speed of sound. Another of the Draconian summoned Blades from the ground, forged in hell fire, and distribute to all the other Draconian.

The Draconians struck by Acton's Golem was severely injured and immediately teleported to the Demons to be healed. Their dragonskin was ripped and this shock the remaining Draconian. They begin to stay a certain distance away from the Golem and started shooting dragon fire at Action instead. The Dark Elves decided to take on the Golem. They were fast and nimble, capable of taking on a creature whose movement should be slow due to their large size. Armed with daggers and their spells, they started to chip off the Creature's health bit by bit. The Demons could no longer stay in range attacks. All but one went and engage Action in Melee combat, the one that remained stayed to heal the injured.

This was no longer  a duel, it was now a blood fest, with each side lusting for the blood of the other.

OOC: That's not just for Acton, it applies to other character if needed, mainly due to the fact that there are too many opponents. I will slowly kill off the Opponents but until then, I will weaken the characters before the Boss Fight. Still deciding which Character should be the one to defeat the Devil.

Before the slash hit Nick the warrior of Lava grab the Draconian and threw him across the arena. The Ice warrior and fire warrior started fighting the elemental spirits. Nick finally reveals his final power. One of the most devastating authorities known to his demon kind. Slowly Skeletons and dead warriors come up from the ground and engage the Draconian troops.

Acton is pissed. The dark elves were slowly tearing down his most powerful creation. The man quickly pulls another weapon from his cloak this one is a staff. He spins it around deflecting most of the blades and fire though a few get through he does not stop his wild dance and once he is done he hits the ground. A huge shock wave could be felt and suddenly all the dark elves found themselves tied up in vines and branches. Making them easy targets for the golem.

Keith laughs as the draconians hit his body. His arm is continuously sending off nanobots towards his original target; the skin of the draconian that was ripped off. the nano-bots quickly grow the skin in to a shape equal two Keith's body.

During this time Keith is taking some hits and giving off multiple slashes continuously. however, he suddenly takes out a poition, one of the dark poitions. He drinks and Keith's body drops to the ground. The body quickly stands up. "Robo-Keith is on standby." it says as the skin of the draconian    stands up, It's features seem to resembles Keith's exactly. "Let's take 'um out!" the draconian skin says as the nano-bots form a new blade. Robo-Keith is attacking the draconians while Draconian-Keith is doing the same thing.

Jack's blade shakes with holy aura, while Jack takes the two blows. However, the blows apparently go through his armor and transfers to the other daemon. well at least it seems to be that way, since Jack seems to be pretty hurt. Jack continues to try and cut through the daemon holding onto his blade.

Nick - The Draconian are overwhelm by the sudden appearance of the skeletons and reacted immediately to engage them, leaving 2 Draconian against Nick. Wings sprout out of the Draconian that was thrown across the arena and his fall was halt. he flew up high and starts to attack Nick at high velocity. The other Draconian engaging Nick was the strongest amongst them - their leader. He dash in front of Nick, dodging the skeletons and crossfire, and gave him an uppercut from his blind spot.

Acton - The Demon cast Flame Cloak upon the Dark Elves allowing them to burn off the vines and branches. They then cast a sealing spell, with Nick as the catalyst. A symbol appeared on Nick across the arena that burns within his chest. So long Nick is alive and each time he uses his powers, Acton's power is seal bit by bit and then assimilated into their power. The Draconian then take this chance to go on the offensive once more and struck Acton with their new blade.

Keith - (OOC: I have no idea what you just did so I'm going to assume.) The Dark Elves is fed up with this Mortal they are fighting. He has some pretty annoying ability and so they decides to end it all. The Elf with the Soul Link with Keith was to be executed. She stands still as two Draconian stabs her in the heart. This attack was felt within Keith himself as his Soul was damaged. The Opponents he was fighting then take this chance to strike with their full power - Each of them blast Keith with all their Might.

Jack - The Demons did not flinch as much as the blow transferred into them. They merely shook it off and analyze how Jack is doing this. As Jack tries to cut through the Demon holding his blade, two more came from his back, striking him with a stronger punch, only this time with a spell overlapping it. Even if he could transfer damage, he could only transfer one type. Magic or Physical...?

The Devil was utterly bored. His best disciples has not yet entered the fray and the archangels are still merely watching.

I probably should have not given my disciples free-will... The Devil thought.

OOC: Keith basically transfered his soul into a new body. so the curses won't effect his new body.

The original body of Keith falls to the ground, defeated. The new Keith, however is now equipped with draconian skin giving his body even greater durability, but with no cyborg abilities. His body moves in  ways that were imagined impossible, and his blade changes sgape and size with every swing. His body is practically ignoring the attacks. 

"Well, Just have to wait until the body can be reused." Keith says as he continues to slash the Dark Elves, with no curse impairing his abilities.

Jack takes the two blows, but instead of transfreing the attack back, the energy of the strike goes stright into the daemon holding unto his blade. His body is slowing regaining enrgy from his Relic, and Jack seems to be enjoyin g the fight for some reason.

Nick just laughs as the curse is placed on him. He yells out, "Fine guess its just the old fashion way for now on." His army of skeletons out number the Draconian by 4 to 1 and there is only two fighting him now. The uppercut hits him but does little damage looking at the leader Nick says, "My turn" He whips out his demon tail and slashes at the commanders chest while delivering a claw filled punch to the side.

Acton is more furious then he was before and now he begins fighting. He dodges the blade and heads straight for the Demons. He throws two Knives with holy powers at the one doing most of the healing. Then he activates his sword with flaming blade the same as the claws earlier chops at one demons head. 

The Devil's boredom reach its peak. He could no longer tolerate this long, drag out battle. While everyone (Literally everyone in the Arena except those not in the fray) was busy fighting each other, too distracted to notice him, the Devil had charge a ball of energy equivalent to a exploding sun. He cast a negating zone spell upon the arena before launching his attack. The Negating spell reduces everyone's, even his disciples,  magic resistance to zero before teleporting the ball in the middle of the arena and detonating it.

Michael shouted, "EVERYONE RU-" before the blast happened.

The blast covered the entire Arena. The archangels, his disciples, the heroes was all within its range. The Archangels and his 6 disciples managed a shield before the initial blast. The Devil himself was laughing all the way through delighted by the destruction.

OOC: He just entered the fight himself without warning.

OOC: So is it just the devil left now?

OOC: Yep. And 6 of his disciples. I feel like ending this soon so that we can return to the tavern. This plot is getting old. Fighting the Devil doesn't give the same charm as it does when this first started. Also Character caught in the blast cannot escape unscathed.

Keith's draconian body bursts into flames and is completely destroyed. Keith's original body is burnt, but not completely. Jack gets hit with the blast, and his blade explodes in his hands, the blade protected Jack a little, but Jack is still heavily wounded.

OOC: Keith is known in heaven as the trickster. So, he's not going down easily, and is most likely going to annoy the devil a ton before leaving.

OOC: Or Keith might die before then... :d anyway only one character will be fighting the Devil as the rest will be going one on one against his remaining Disciples. We will use rock paper scissors to determine the winner, who would like to go first?

Acton and Nick will go up against disciples. You still have no idea who Acton is at this point do you and why he summons all these creatures.

OOC: Alright fine by me but I'm going to bed now. See ya later

OOC: Will be controlling Nick. Cool gave his permission and etc. Just see what happens. Not as detailed as I hoped to be but this thread is already falling into the inactive zone so let's finish this. Aman, can you PM me whether you want your character to fight the Devil or the Disciples?

The blast took out the entire area. Everyone was either injured in one way or the other. Well, everyone except the Devil and his disciples.

The Devil smiled to himself. They actually survive a point-blank blast from me, this ought to be interesting...

"Go my disciple! Finish what I've started! Destroy the pest!"

Nick is pretty much alright although he suffered some wound. Suddenly he notices something blurry at the side of his view. He quickly duck  to one side, attempting to dodge the incoming attack. One of the Disciple, A Draconian, had chosen him as his target. He quickly summons his powers and enter the fight.

Minutes has passed since he fought the Draconian. He was wounded in many place. The Draconian was fast and his control over fire was astounding. He had attempted to use the Disciple's shadow to root him and break his skin but to no avail. Adding to that was the Draconian's ability to be able to summon Wyvern. Cousins to the Dragon race, they were smaller and less powerful but just as annoying. A fireball was hurled towards him and he blocks it with a shadow shield and was suddenly hit from his back.

Another Wyvern had been summon and that made three. Damn, how many can he summons... Nick quickly gathers his energy and decided that the best way to defeat them would be taking out the summoner. He speeds towards the Draconian, covers his fist with shadows and fused it with demonic energy. It was so intense that his demonic form almost turned into one of a Demon Lord.

BAM!

The shockwave can be felt by the others fighting in the remains of the arena.

Nick's body flew all the way to the other sides, only to be stopped by some debris remains of the arena. He coughs out blood and his vision was distorted. Standing up was hard enough and anymore would kill him. He looks towards the Draconian; as he was attempting his attack, the Draconian somehow managed to land his punches first, sending Nick flying.

Feeling his conscious fading, Nick quickly uses his portal and attempted a hasty retreat back to his dimension. The Draconian grin to himself, flex his muscle before heading to help his brethren.

(OOC: Permission from Aman granted. Result: A tie.)

Keith has managed to hold his own against one of the Disciples, the Demon. Despite the Demon's overwhelming ability over dark matter and energy and his unique shape shifting cloak that appears to be his main weapon, Keith had manage to land a few hits in.

"Not Bad, I heard that your the "Trickster" of heaven but to be able to go toe to toe with me, the first and most powerful amongst the Disciples with mere strength is impressive."

Keith gave a charismatic smile. Yea right, most powerful... as if, I fought creatures more powerful than you. Keith then speed up his attacks, launching kicks and punches follow up by combos of his martial art style. Each blow weakens the Demon's stamina and strength, landing more damage after the other.

The Demon was forced into a defensive position soon after but not for long. With a burst of the pent-up rage within him, he lets loose a huge burst of dark energy, blowing everything within 360 degree away - including Keith. After that, he flew towards Keith at a high speed, slashing him with a sword made from his cloak. He continues with blast after blast of dark energy and then ends it all with an energy beam strong enough to punch a hole in a mountain.

BOOM!

The impact causes a huge explosion felt by all. The Demon look within the smoke for signs of life although that is highly impossible. He smiled to himself, Nothing could survive my blast... NOTHING! and started laughing maniacally... until he took a punch at the speed of sound to his face.

Crack! Boom!

A small cracking sound could be heard as the cheekbone of the Demon was fractured, followed by the sound of the sound barrier being broken. The Demon flew all the way across the arena, smashing into the ground and flipping several times until his fall finally stopped. Keith smile was bigger than ever and turn to a grin. He shouts out, "UNDERESTIMATE ME AND THAT'S WHAT HAPPEN!" before spitting out blood. The Demon slowly gets up, pupil shrunk in as his hatred reached a tipping point where he cross the line between sane and insanity, and flew towards Keith at a astounding speed, tackling him to the ground several meters away.

Keith was already tired and had multiple blast wound and the Demon had multiple bruise and a fractured face. Both are equally powerful and equally tired. As they stare at each other, they decided that the next move... would be the finishing move.

Keith's body was already at it's limit. To be honest, he shouldn't of challenged the daemon without his tricks and now he's paying for it. The pain his body is sending throughout his body is immense, but he has had worse, though when he reaches that point he is a goner for sure. The holes in his body were yet to be repaired. His body is using all the strength it has to keep his fighting strength going, and he has no energy left for nano-bots. 

The daemon was not uninsured. It's vision has worsened, and the bruises were adding up. But he was in a better position then Keith. He jumps at Keith, using his blast power to push his body way  past normal daemon speed. ?he will have no time to stop this? the daemon thinks as he charges straight into Keith, ready to end this fight.

Keith gets hit by the daemon, and he and the daemon go shooting past all the other fights. ?He is deafeated? the daemon thinks, until it looks at it's fist. A blade coming right out of Keith's stomach has penetrated the daemon's hand, and it extends all the way to it's neck. Keith looks at it, obviously in pain, and punches it right into the chest. He pulls out it's heart, and pushes the daemon of his stomach blade. Keith looks triumphant. "Never underestimate the trickster of heaven daemon." Keith says before chugging a poition. He walks as far as he can, then sits down, obviously still in great pain. 

OOC: result Keith wins

Jack was to face Desciple #7 a blood elf

"Shit, I'm better against daemons." Jack says, as he readies his blade. The Blood Elf, snickers,  obviously pleased with Jack's reaction. It starts an incantation, turning itself invisible. It then starts casting another spell, one which has the dead start climbing out of the floor. Jack wastes no time, and starts slashing like a maniac hoping to get a lucky strike. The blood elf is amused and accidentally unleashes a burst of laughter at Jack's trial. Jack hears the elf, and swings in that direction. The blade slashe the blood elf, making blood splash on the floor.

But before Jack has a chance to continue his slashing, the undead attack him. Jack block the blows, but is unable to unleash any attacks himself. The undead converge on Jack and his blade moves frantically, trying to block all of the attack. Some land, but Jack is able to push off the undead, and destroy a number of them.

the battle has turned into a endurance match. The blood elf attempted blood magic, but Jacks holy armor negated the magic. So al th elf could do was wait out until it's undead minions could destroy Jack. Sadly, for the elf, the elf had lost too much blood in the fight and summoning the dead took a lot out of it. The dead drop, and the elf reappears, falling to the floor. "One unexpected win for me I suppose." Jack says, slashing the head of the elf right off. 

OOC: result Jack wins, slightly tired, but in average condition. 

OOC : Kilometers away, a small hooded figure marches alone towards the arena.  Her steel-blue eyes give off a vibe of contemplation and determination, and her scarlet hair outlines the fringe of her coat.  She know that she isn't alone, but then again, who would have noticed her approaching the skirmish, especially at such a distance?

?Name : Amy

Description : (based on appearance): A death-pale girl with steely blue eyes with scarlet hair to match.  She is a mere child equivalent to the age of a 14-year old human.  While her race is yet to be distinguished at the moment, she is definitely not human.

Description (based on history):  Not much is known about her, let alone her kind.  If she were to describe her race, it would be "as though in a fleeting moment, you had seen a spectre".  However, she is still tangible, provided she allows anyone to touch her.

?I'm going to go over it again and revise later on, but it will take some time.  So if you guys are ready for another character, I'll be preparing. 

OOC: We are actually in a middle of a war here, of course unless you would like to participate in it, please create your character at the other thread Found Souls. Btw if you do decides to participate in it, know that no matter how powerful your character are, she is an equal in this fight and will be fighting Nick's opponent that he lost to.

I understand. So i won't be battling.  At least, not yet!

Keith wakes up from his unconsciousness, and drinks a poition. His body disintegrates, and a pile of dust spells out. see you later.

The Devil killed Raphael and Gabriel. Severely wounded Michael. Generally kicked most people ass before getting slain by Michael once more as he seal the Devil within his own body. So long he lives (Angel are kinda immortal), the Devil shall not escape though his influence might sometimes do that. The End.
