I think he said "What?" because heartstorm just said thanks to himself/herself.

Oh, and welcome to the site heartstorm.

Oh.

hello?

i a she and thanks

hello?

'I'm a she. Thanks.' Would be a better way to type it. Sorry, It's just a pet peeve of mine to see so many errors in such a short sentence. *sheepish look*

hello?

I agree, this is a writing site, maintaining a minimum of errors is sort of expected.

My God, you really need to put more effort into your writing. I know this is only a forum, but if you don't focus on increasing the legibility and clarity of your writing, I don't see you writing a single storygame that meets minimum site standards, and you're 0/1 already. Please proofread, capitalize, add punctuation, spell things correctly, and generally do all of the things you aren't currently doing. It's okay to make typos and the like but your current output is not acceptable.

@heartstorm

oh.......ok

The best thing for you to do, is to follow this advice:

  • Capitalize the start of every sentence
  • Add a period to the end of every sentence
  • Read your post before you submit it. Does it sound natural? Would you talk like that in real life? If not, change it
  • Add commas where you want pauses to go
  • Stay far... far away from ellipses

anything

Ellipses? What are those?

anything

........

anything

What? I didn't really pay that much attention in my language arts class.

anything

No, I answered your question haha.

anything

Oh. Ops.

anything

Okay. Sorry about that. I should really start looking things up more before I post. *sheepish look*

anything

It ... would be wise. I mean, really, what else is Google for?

(Aside from porn, you pervs.)

anything

But. . . I love ellipses. . .

They're like longer pauses, or for when you don't want to definitively end your sentence, but just sorta let it trail off into . . .

anything

Technically, the only instance in which it is appropriate to use ellipses is when quoting large pieces of text. They can be substituted in for the unimportant parts.

anything

That's a lacuna.  Not the same thing.

anything

Hmm...that's not what I was taught, but, then again, I went to school here in Arkansas, educational underachievement center of the United States.

anything

I was taught the same thing. I suppose they might teach that every where in the U.S. (I'm not saying I know that, I'm just making an educated guess based off of three schools in three different states.)

anything

@Sethaniel

I love ellipses too! People who don't know anything about how to use them should stay away from them because to those people, they tend to replicate like a virus and replace periods altogether.

She has only been here for a day and a half. She knows even less then I do about the internet. No offense, but I think you should go just a bit easier on her. I'm trying to help her with spelling and grammar already.

anything

Good. Keep doing that. I'm trying to stop her from inseminating the forums with relentless heaps of incoherent "sentences". Once she cleans up her grammar, the community will be more likely to naturally warm to her and she'll have a better chance of writing something decent.

anything

Im back from cleaning the dishes.

anything

Uh, no, you don't have to know anything about the internet to type correctly.

anything

I mean that he should go easy on Heartstar because she seems to be rather timid and we don't want to scare her off. (I know you might want to, but there are other people out there that are willing to be helpful rather than try to insult people all the time). I already said I was trying to help her on her spelling and grammar.

anything

^THAT was me then.

anything

Have no idea which post this was referring to.

anything

I believe that she was referring to this post. (at least I think I lined it up correctly, I don't know for certain though)

Y'all need to settle down, now. If someone is a duplicate account and they're being nefarious, you can let me handle them. Unlike your sorry asses, I can actually tell. Heartstorm is not mousepaw, she's just illiterate. With some hard work + encouragement, that can be fixed.

I cleaned this thread up because you were all embarrassing yourselves.

anything

Could you tell with that shark thing?

anything

Sharky100? Yeah. See here.

anything

Wasn't that madglee?

anything

You're not wrong, but you're also failing to draw a pretty obvious conclusion from that. If madglee can see it, then, so can I. I had talked to Mousepaw about it at least a week or a few days earlier and told her that if she worked hard on improving herself, I wouldn't out her secret. Madglee decided to.

anything

Would you still trust mousepaw?

anything

If I trusted her, she'd still be around. It's not cool to post underage pictures of yourself and also a plethora of spammy threads.

anything

No. I also doubt that he would trust people who put up underage blank pictures of themselves.

anything

Are you hinting at something?

anything

I would say, "no, he likes making pointless comments with no reason or value whatsoever", but there are too many people who would actually agree with that statement, sarcastic or not.

anything

Actually, it was Madglee that called her out...and kinda threatened to kill her family.

anything

Thanks for correcting me, James! I had no idea that it in fact, wasn't me that called her out. Please see my reply to coins :)

If the question was: "3J, did you call Mousepaw out on being Sharky, in that shark thread?" Then the answer was no. But that thread very thoroughly answers the question that was actually posed to me.

anything

Sorry. That comment wasn't out when I made my comment. I didn't think that IPs were something you could see automatically. I assumed you just had some tool to see them and it wasn't automatic. Therefore, I thought that coins was asking if you intuitively knew that Sharky was Mousepaw.

It probably doesn't make much of a difference, but my thought process tends to differ slightly from that of a normal person, so I often go ahead and explain my thought process to make sure everyone is on the same page.

anything

It is a tool, that I have to use. I'm not sure:

A) Why that's important or,

B) Why it matters if I can tell intuitively

If you guys think there's an alter-ego of a troll present, PM me, rather than embarrassing yourselves by consistently getting it wrong :)

anything

Hey, please don't lump me in with the others this time. I didn't even really suggest that Heartstorm was anyone else. Yes, I did warn TacocaT about the possibility, but all I was trying to say is that someone pm-ing you before posting in the forums doesn't mean that person was never on the site before. I don't know if that's what you are pointing at but that is all that I can really remember posting on this thread besides my (possibly poor) explanation of Asperger's and a few other insignificant comments.

anything

You're fine, James, relax. My statements were meant as generalities. In general, the community is very quick to accuse and equally quick to accuse incorrectly.

anything

Sorry.

anything

All good. You were totally fine in this thread.
