Just finished watching a livestream of the Jeff Horn vs Manny Pacquiao fight, and it was bloody and great ('cos boxing).
Fight lasted for 12 rounds (about 36 minutes of fighting) and the results were left to the judges' decision since, although both fighters were beaten really hard, neither was KO'd. Personally, I thought Pacman would win - but Horn is now the welterweight champion of THE WORLD.
One look at Manny's Wikipedia page and it's pretty clear that the fight was a classic underdog story for Jeff-boy (and now, there're comparisons made between him and Rocky Balboa, and rightfully so).
Seeing that this is a pretty big highlight in boxing history, and the stories behind both fighters are very inspirational, I'm gonna post this here as some stimulus for those of you that may find something in this *ahem, summer contest*. Evidently, both are good models of sporting heroism - a 'genre' I find to be lacking in attention on CYS. Concerning the summer contest, they may not be fighting against evil - but perhaps the qualities of both men give you an indication of what a hero can look like (so you don't need to overthink the definition of 'good').
