Read Necromancer before you read Death's Song, if you're into Fantasy. Marooned on Giri Minor is a solid read if you like sci-fi or old school adventure games. Dead Man Walking is the way to go if you want a adventurous horror story.

i'll read marooned on girl minor that sounds fun

After Giri Minor and the sequel, read Paradise Violated for more good sci first, and Ground Zero if you like post apocalyptic stuff.

There's not a ton of sci fi but what we do have is pretty epic. You might also like Achilles and the sequel, and that author wrote some WH40K fanfic too.
