Any books that have sucking sad or "not a happy like" ending. Similar to Numbers by Rachel Ward where every protogaoist just died (one of them died because he slipped off the roof and broke his bloody neck, sucks).

There's a movie also named 'Shutter Island' (ask to october about this he knows well); wait, wait you know bad ending story is really fine than a happy ending story, taking examples of the movie series: ''ANACONDAS''

Are you able to handle anaconda? I'm sure you'll say no, but they were....(in movie).

How does that make a story bad? Everybody isn't going to get a perfect happy ending and I don't see why a story should get one.

My best guess is that pointless endings makes a ending suck not nesscairly happy or sad. Like someone dying because they fell off the roof makes the ending pointless.

Lots of Russian novels (and films, for that matter)--but I kind of like that. Not everything can end well for everyone.

Downer endings are pretty much as old as time. Just look at some Greek myths for example.

Jason did a whole bunch of heroic stuff and then ultimately died lonely and unhappy. He didn't even get a noble death, he was sleeping under the rotting stern of his once great ship the Argo and it collapsed on him.
