So a couple of months ago a mosque near here was burned down.

Local news milked this for all it was worth as a heartwarming story of people of every faith coming together to support the Muslim community and raise the money to rebuild it and love overcoming hate etc. etc. There didn't seem to be any leads on actually catching the arsonist though and they stopped reporting on it before too long.

Today we all learn that a man arrested for an unrelated incident turned out to be the one responsible. He hasn't been officially charged for it yet, but before setting the fire, he stole a laptop. Now, the laptop, and another he'd stolen from the same building a week previously, have been discovered in his home while police were searching the place over the other thing. He just decided to hang onto them all this time. I mean, free laptops, right? What's a little arson or hate crime charge to that?

Oh, and what he was originally arrested for? A 'family dispute' led to him...taping fireworks together, and using them to set a car on fire.

Which was why the mental image whiplash. She's more the live and let die type, rather than the live and give free healthcare type.
