So... I was too lazy to work on my contest entry so I decided to make a thread where I can make another storygame and get shamed on the process! Not sure if this should be in the Cavity or whatever corner or the writing workshop. Please just move it admins if it's on the wrong section.

Anyways, since Allegedly a dragon story has officially been taken down, I plan to make a 're-do' of the game except Dragons aren't the main topic. That would be plagiarizing! Sorry @BradinDvorak if you hoped for someone to remake Allegedly a dragon story. It would still take the 1 gillion author idea though.

Here's the idea of my storygame. It would be about the Internet because there are only 2 internet based storygames on this site. This would probably in the edutainment section because I plan to make it 'kid-friendly'... Probably. Perhaps the plot could be about the dangers of the internet? I'll think of the better plot later...

It wouldn't be plagiarizing to make a story about dragons, but you can't switch out a few details and copy the game.

How about a story were you play as the dragon and defeat the noble knight? Then eat CAKE?

How is that supposed to teach children about the dangers of the internet!?

The dragon can be a child who loves playing computer games and accidentally stumbles into the depths of the internet!

When you stumble into the depths of the internet while playing computer games, you find pedoporn and/or lose your kidneys, you don't just fight dragons!

It could be skyrim!

If you honestly want to teach children to read, you need someone who's actually helpful, like Will, Seto, or Bradman.

Bad call on the ending, revoir is pronounced akin to 're-vwa', the 'ir' at the end is pronounced uniquely, and so your rhyme with 'sir'... didn't

Plelb, I don't think kids who can't read will join a writing website.

There's already like 3 stories here for kids. And probably actually 5 stories about the internet. Our market is oversaturated, we need to invest in songs and pangolins.

Sure, we can diversify, but pangolins and the Swedish Mafia are on the verge of booming again. We need to invest while the stocks are still dirt and sell at the top of the bubble.

Not promising anything good, but I'll try my best to help you out with a song. :)

I've written a few songs before but they weren't *good* songs, and certainly not children's songs explaining how to use CYS.

Somewhere in this morass of Pangolins, internet stories, and general mayhem is a multi author story wishing to exist. However, due to the aforementioned Pangolins, internet stories, and general mayhem I sincerely doubt that story will ever see the light of day.

How does co-authoring work on this site?

Regarding multiple author stories, the only ones that have been amusing are the ones where each next page (in CYOA format each decision node's outcomes) is by a different author. More often than not, it leads to a whiplash of themes and genres as the pages switch, but once in a blue moon something cohesive emerges.

If someone's genuinely interested in doing that format I'd be in it for the curiousity value of what the final product turns out to be. However, I suspect that the chances of that from this thread are... comparable to those of somone seeing Aphrodite's birth from foam, live

Yeah, you're right. I guess I should stop working on the story...

Still makes the story anyways with other co-authors because I can and anything is possible.
