How to write a female character?

I don't have a vagina, so it's difficult for me at times to accurately portray the mind and actions of a woman. Any tips, or should I just make them men with tits?

"should I just make them men with tits?"

That's what I basically do.

I think Axiom is doing that in her VN as well, and if Axiom is doing it then it must be okay.

^^^ this.

The results of 'Men with tits' will be infinitely better and more natural than anything you'd come up with by overthinking this.

Well, you have to remember men and women aren't the same. For instance, for any female POV stories make sure they comment on what their boobs are doing. Bring as much attention to the boobs as you can. Also, make sure to constantly acknowledge that they're female as much as possible, calling them female and having characters bring it up whenever they do something showing their surprise at existing gender norms.

Solid advice mate. Boobies, lots and lots of boobies, are always a good idea. Those other two wankers above need to get their shit together.

Feel free to ignore most biological differences, unless you're writing about living in confined environments for extended periods of time (such as space stations). However, it would be incorrect to not factor social role expectations into your character. If your child protagonist is a girl and one day walks up and announces 'alright, I'm out of here, I've got things to kill,' you will need the societal feedback to that announcement to be different from that a guy would expect to receive (again, except when your society doesn't raise an eye at a woman going off sword in hand). How society responds will shape your character's thoughts and behaviour.

TL,DR: The mind and actions of a character are always influenced by the society around them, so while the character can for most purposes be the same as a guy, how society responds to their actions should not be.

As a real-life female, I can confirm that a lot of us are just men with tits (and sometimes an apparrant lack of).

I'm not going to sit here and categorise all the 'types' or females; you acn make them as traditionally masculine or feminine as you want to, depending on what kind of role they will play in your story. :) :)

And even though a lot of the comments here seem to trying to convince you to just write about the boobs, I would strongly advise the opposite. Please don't JUST write a female character based on their body because that gets really boring. No-one wants to read a story about a walking talking mammary gland!

Anyways, good luck! I look forward to reading whatever story you have planned! :) :)

Incidentally while it's OK to write men with tits, attempt to avoid writing chicks with dicks, as that without exception leads to you writing kinky porn.
