The story that never was

I had a story once. Like, a couple months ago. I started it, and I really liked it at first. But, then I started to get sick of it. This usually doesn't happen with me and large projects, but the idea that seemed awesome at first was now kind of dumb. I read through it in the eyes of a reader, and...I hated it. Is there any good way to resurrect a story like this, or should I just trash it?

Make it not a large project. Butcher it down to the core idea, whatever the character and main conflict or theme was going to be, and if that itself is flawed you can scrap it. If you still find something there that you like you can build a smaller story around it.

Also, just an fyi, you have a story named 'Scat' which is most known for being a gross thing that you should never Google, ever. A title change might be a good idea.
