Player Comments on It's Not Easy Being Me
This is a really nicely written story and the closest I've seen to grammatical perfection. I have to say I do like that. It shows you've put in time, effort, and thought in, and for a storygame of around 6500 words- a length I felt was a pretty perfect compliment for this style of story- that doesn't seem too common. The only error I saw was a misused semicolon, which is barely worth mentioning, easy to do, and out shadowed by the rest of the well paced description and generally realistic dialogue. However, I did notice some slightly strange phraseology. I'm being pretty picky here, mainly because I don't like to leave comments without criticism because I'm dead inside. Two examples:
- "Stepping over a few large blades of glass..."
- "Wind blows past your spine."
Other than that, a good story with some nice endings (I think I got them all!). Lastly: I wouldn't put an ending as one of the first two choices. You might as well have not had it as a choice because the whole 'go home and nothing happens' thing doesn't really add much (yeah, spoilers or whatever, sorry).
6/8

Very well written. All of the choices make sense. A couple of the endings are little cheesy but considering the source material it can be forgiven. I only noticed a couple of spelling or grammar errors so kudos on your proofreading. Great story would love to read more of your work

Now, where do I begin?
It's Not Easy Being Me is a fanfiction. Yes, a fanfiction. It's Not Easy Being Me also achieves in an area where no other fanfiction on this site has: cohesiveness.
The story doesn't put you in the role of Superman. In fact, it doesn't put you in the role of any pre-existing character. Instead, you are Aiden Risely. The protagonist is a jaded asshole reminiscent of J. Jonah Jameson. Unlike Jonah, however, Aiden has no reason to be mad at Superman. He just is.
The main focus of the story is Aiden taking a walk downtown. An unseen attacker is fighting Superman and chaos is everywhere. At that point it's up to the player to decide Aiden's actions. The game branches off into a variety of endings at this phase, but the 'true' path is achieved by trying to help people caught in the battle.
While some endings are fairly disappointing, such as the Metahuman ending, I found the True ending the most satisfying. It's incredibly lengthy, but can inspire strong emotions in the reader that makes you feel like you're really in the moment.
Overall, this is the best fanfiction I've ever read. Still, a fanfiction is a fanfiction, it could've been less rushed, and there could've been more variety to the endings. 6/8.
Oh and Batman's in it.

This is good! Well-written and intriguing. You should make another version of this, when you aren't rushed for the contest, and I would definitely play.

Awesome story! Just the right amount of Superman references, too. The true ending is the best, but going home when Zod attacks Superman produces a real emotional impact, too. I also liked the True Detective ending.
The only thing I could spot wrong with it is "He looks down to see the kryptonite knife, impaled through his abdoman." - it should read "abdomen"

You have a good understanding of the Superman Mythos and I like the idea of using a perspective of a character who distrusts Supes. The game might be short but there's a nice mixture of endings too! Good job! :)

That was a pretty good game. It wasn't too linear or anything like that. Great job.
