Player Comments on Kingmaker
Kingmakers were a large influence in historical royal politics. However in this game, the kingmaker is much more. The kingmaker has total control on who is on the throne, which person has the power to execute.
I personally liked the plan. It was a unique and creative way to find the assassins out. I also loved the logic involved in the plan and all of the careful thinking that you had to do.
The game took work, jotting down facts, logic, to win, not random clicking of the 'go back' button. That's what I like in a puzzling game.
However, it would improve if the people were randomized. So that if one would want to play through it again, they could have another good time thinking.

Whoa. That was a really interesting play - it took me a few tries to get through it without getting killed straight out! And even then I still got 6 people killed. (Maybe it's just me, but I thought it was randomised and so it kept it more challenging)
Great game.

Congratulations, Kingmaker. You have, by wits and guile, arranged the lawful executions of all three Assassins!
You killed: 0 innocent citizens in the process.
Forward into the future, Kingmaker!
Wow.

Nice little diversion here, I love logic puzzles like this, even if this one needed a lot of guesswork. But I killed all three assassins at the expense of only five innocents. Medieval justice, harsh but fair.
I'm just glad I didn't see this one before the riddles and puzzles contests or I would have been tempted to steal the basic idea. :P

Puh. It was annoying figuring out who the assassins were long before I could execute them. Although I got it I'm the end, I don't feel to glad when I know that I executed a bunch of loyal citizens.

An excellent puzzle but a little too complicated for my personal preferences but very well made none the less. It would be interesting to see a series of these as the story that presented the puzzle was good enough to be extended further.

It was an interesting and fun puzzle, although the lack of characterization and atmosphere made it only a puzzle and not that emotionally engaging.
Still, it's impressive scripting, with excellent grammar and spelling throughout. The only little snag is that characters with female names are still occasionally referred to with the male pronoun 'his'.
Props for a fun and nicely streamlined puzzle game. It was intelligent and challenging.

A very interesting form of puzzle. Loved it, required lots of thinking and strategy. Next time, maybe you could give a bit of a back story to the characters and you could have thrown in other variables including what they do during their reign, or even including characteristics for each character. Still loved the new concept! 7/8

There were several ways this could have been implemented properly. It had great potential but failed miserably. If only there were clues left as to who would execute who, who was an assassin, etc. In addition *SPOILER ALERT* I don't think it was a good idea to have the King execute the kingmaker.

Game more than story. Interesting logic, but unless I'm missing something, unless you get lucky on the first one, you could kill an innocent. Also, even if you get lucky on the first one, an assassin's enemy is a citizen, but if you pick that citizen, one of their enemies is not necessarily an assassin, so you could still kill an innocent. Seems like it would be better if through cold logic you could completely avoid killing any innocents. I obviously got lucky.

For a second I was surpised, right after,I saw the kings name was Roderick, oddly enough I had the same name. Alittle bit of fun, alittle bit of a challange, and alittle bit of some thinking. Over all I thought it was a great idea, and you nailed it on the head. Too bad it lacks replayability. Since when you beat the game the first time you know how to solve it the next time. Unless of course you somehow made it so that the assasins and citizens are random, or did you do that already? I would imagine that would take alot of work.

Small bug that is likely unfixable without quite a bit of work.
When you're telling who the friends and enemies are it always says "his" ie:
The Bell tolls for COURTNEY
His friends were: bla bla bla
But Courtney is a girl :)

In this game, score is equal to the number of innocent citizens executed- so, the lower the score, the better. As you can see, there is a way to win the game in only three elections.
