Genetic modification is a popular thought in science fiction-but what if it were real? What if you really could modify, well...everything? What if the surgery in Flowers For Algernon was real? And the technology developed?
This is a question asked by scientists back in the 70's, after IET (Intelligence Enhancement Technology) was perfected. A lot of time has passed since then, and the technology's only gotten better. You are a scientist working in the ET Labs (Enhancement Technology), a string of labs around the country working to give humans total control over their bodies. Since then, IET became a common surgery given at birth and adolescence. However, MET (Muscle Enhancement Technology) is becoming more and more popular-and more and more dangerous.

Fight the power! (was this a game or a political statement?)

Hhhmmm interesting... It all depends on who has the power though. If the good guys do then great if not then not so good. But you cannot classify the human race as one in my opinion.

I don't like the premice that advancement of humans will always end up at a dead end no matter what. Humans 2,000 years ago were shorter, uglier harier and a lot more different than wew are today. We are growing, changing, and evolving. Genetic manipulation just speeds up the process and cuts out some of the bad mutations that are bound to occur along the way. I didn't like the background at all and I disagree with you 100%.

first: 3^x+4^x=5^x isn't true unless x=2.
second: you keep switching between past and present tense.
third: it's kinda short.
fourth: there's no way to survive.
fifth: I'd expected more of a story for not upgrading or joining the gunmen.
sixth: not a bad idea.
