The quality of the writing and characters wasn't exactly terrible. The average page length was rather short. Perhaps the worst part is that it's essentially a demo. We don't allow demos to be published. You've explicitly stated that you put this out to see what we think of it. Instead of publishing it, why not create a thread in the Writing Workshop forum and supply a link to the /unpublished/ storygame? It can't be rated and we can give you advice and helpful tips so that you won't be rated poorly when you're finished with your story completely.

Well really, when taking into account any story, you need to look at the characters, the plot, the setting and the actual writing. Honestly, for a first story the setting isn't terrible, but there's a lot of gaps left in it.

Review to be completed later, if you like it. Please tell me whether I should just abandon reviewing this or keep going.

Don't publish things that aren't finished. I liked the writing though :)

Well, it has an okay start, but please don't publish things you're not finished with.

Here's the deal, if you leave a page saying 'you're going to complete this later,' don't expect a good rating. How would you feel if you were to make your way across a buffet and then at the end realize that there's no dessert. I'm guessing not happy. Same thing here. Finish the story, please.
