You are all in Detroit (you will all have a reason why shortly) and some news has been spreading around the city like wildfire! Last week it was said that one of the Duke's patrols came back into town with a rare magical item! Like holy cow this thing is cool and valuable and probably shiny. Should be on your map, but Detroit is a Gnomeish city and the Duke of Detroit is Boddyknock. Of course Boddyknock took immediate possession of this item and has been "attuning" to it for the last several days.
