"Entering the opposite side of the wall you walk towards the glassy trees and notice something odd about them…
“A WORKING NERVOUS SYSTEM, INSIDE THE TREES?” your stunned. “how does that even happen” you stammer out."
You're probably confused after reading that without any context. Well, if you read the story, you will not be enlightened whatsoever, because it's this confusing and random the whole way through. There's the foundation (haha) for something interesting here, but it's honestly just a prologue, a very shittily written one, at that. In fact, it seems as if the author decided on their own grammar rules for English, and then also decided to switch these rules up every few pages, so there are a lot of interesting liberties taken with writing and formatting here, and none of them for the better. It reads almost like the text for some sort of RPG, except it doesn't accompany any images, so it's really just lacking detail, description, or any of the other things that make writing good!
Now, let's talk about the plot: there is none. You wander around, only able to go in two of the four cardinal directions at a time (maybe your character can only walk in the direction they're facing?) and either die or get "rescued", both of which are equally unsatisfying endings. Also, I love SCPs, but there's really no need to include the foundation in this story--it would work perfectly as an original setting; however, if you're dead-set on using SCPs, make sure to change the category to fan fiction.
