Player Comments on The Cave Of Possibilities
I believe that this is the author's first story-game, and I'd say it is a bit better than most first story-games.
The writing is fairly coherent and readable. There are a few mistakes here and then (spelling and other types) but it isn't too bad on the whole.
The narrative tone is fairly simple and seems a little monotonous. A little descriptive writing would have gone a long way to making it a more enjoyable read (or any way of creating an image in the reader's mind.) While the plot is clearly presented, and avoids many commonly-used ideas or cliches, it is supported very little story-telling as it were.
The story is very short, although that may have been because I happened to get everything right first time. I noticed that if you take on the beast at first, you simply reach end game with no further explanations.
All in all a decent first attempt, with a lot of scope for improvement.

The writing actually isn't bad at all which makes it even more of a shame this is like five pages long and feels massively unfinished.
Wrong choices sometimes don't even get you a death ending, they just jump you straight to the the End Game and Leave Comments page.
Everywhere I'm seeing places this could have been easily expanded to make it a game of respectable length; proper endings, actual descriptions for things like 'a savage beast'. A description of the three headed dog that would get across that it's a statue with buttons to press etc. and not a monster.
The central (only) puzzle of the game is getting past the statue, but it does that thing where it mentions an item you've never actually seen because there's nothing actually tracking this, and so lo and behold the solution is hitting your back button a couple times and finding the item.
One day, around the age of 16, you ask your father, the king. What life is like outside of their mountain fortification. // I have no idea why this was split in two sentences.
Anyway if the author would quadruple the length and include a few more things actually happening there might be a decent fantasy adventure story here (and it should be categorized as fantasy, the puzzle element is barely there) but as it is it's hard to give this much of a rating when the entire think is over in an eyeblink.
Probably the most competent 1/8 length game I've seen here just the same, but that's still the very definition of damning with faint praise.
