Twenty-two years is a long time to be together, to be so closely emotionally connected. And you mean everything to me. I know sometimes it's hard for us to say it to each other. Long days of work, children, and just--it's just hard in the moment to pause for a second, look at each other, and say it. But I love you. I love you.
I love you when you are asleep, and I love when I just look at you at breakfast. I love you when I'm at work, and I love you when you get into bed, tired from the day, letting dreams lull you, your hair settling on the pillow.
So I was thinking a lot about what to get you for a present this year, to celebrate.
