In your clinic, you specialize in the modification of embryos. With your work, comes the job of counseling couples on the possible modifications you could make to their future children.
Recently, a couple has come to your clinic hoping to conceive a child. This couple, Robin and Blake, have concerns about their future child. Blake explains that her family is conflicted with Diller disease. This is a rare disease which typically shortens the lifespan of those afflicted. Within Blake's family, those afflicted have all died before the age of 40. Blake is afflicted with this disease and wishes to make sure her future child does not carry on this line of disease. The couple would like you to delete the gene responsible for Diller disease within the future embryo.
