A straightforward horror-escape-esque story with a simple premise that holds some potential. I found it to be a light read, interesting at times.
The writing was quite solid and reads easily despite some rough parts. The tone was appropriate for the apprehensive mood of the story, working well to enhance the atmosphere in the horror and build-up scenes (one that comes to mind is the child, painted a nice image). The true ending was a nice fun use of items, and I almost missed it.
However, the game wasn't without its flaws. The branching, while seemingly varied at first, gradually converges into a few predetermined paths. Aside from the deaths, there was only one true ending, which sets this as more of a game than a story.
Speaking of story, it was pretty limited. The plot revolves around one theme of unknown location, identity, and dangers. This plays out well in the introduction, but by the time readers come to an ending he/she would definitely want to know more. It fails to answer why, where, and how about the main character's mysterious arrival into the compound(?). I'd like to see more info as we explore the place a bit more (what compound, what for, etc). As an extension, I'd like to see more after he escapes the place as an operator.
But anyway, not a bad story. Good work.

Lovecraft's cat would be ashamed of you taking his owner's name in vain.
