Player Comments on Morty Time

This sat just on the wrong side of the line between "bad" and "Good, miraculously." Not miraculously good, just regular good, but it’s sort of a miracle that it's good at all kind of good. Unfortunately, again, you were on the wrong side of that line. On the bad side. The tone is just about right, but the editing is distractingly off the mark and the writing isn’t clever enough to use the setting. I know what you’re thinking. My IQ isn’t high enough to appreciate this fanfiction, but I’ll notify you that I like Rick and Morty and, unrelated to that, my IQ is fine - thank you.

What makes Rick and Morty successful isn’t the characters wandering around playing with items that reference prior episodes. Each episode plays with new ideas, subverts different tropes, and often shows us the characters under different lights. Extreme attention to detail, that’s a key component that keeps the whole project together. All of that, that’s what this fanfiction is missing that makes the original product a success.

I like this game a whole lot, but i also love Rick and Morty a whole lot, so.... i don't know. But i love this.

You got the characters almost perfectly.

I loved it. You captured the essence of Rick and Morty, with plenty of easter eggs and fun stuff to do in it. I'm just dying for you to finish it. It's great. It's Rick and Morty (I especially liked the Hammer Morty ending).

The only thing I can see you doing now is finishing it (which would make me happy, still hilarious how you handled it) and maybe proofreading the story a few times to fix the grammar mistakes that were present here and there. But all in all, good story, I liked it immensely (mainly just because I'm in love with Rick and Morty). Seriously, it's great.

You've nailed the tone of the Rick and Morty-verse, and do indeed have a fair bit of branching. Unfortunately the Summer's Ring item is bugged (it starts the Rick's ring content and disappears from inventory), and I'm not able to figure out how to build the device to get the portal gun. Really nice work for what I could see, but I can't say I've fully experienced it as it was intended till those bugs are fixed.

Pretty funny with a good amount of branching. I'm probably biased because I'm a fan of the series but dialogue wise I think you captured the essence of Rick and Morty quite well. That being said, there was quite abit of tense confusion and some endings felt rushed in the way they were written. Particularly loved the Jerry "ending".
