Player Comments on So You Wanna Be a College Student?
Watching a snail is actually more interesting than this. Unlike the snail, who may do something interesting, this dragged on by slower than I could tolerate.
The language seemed far to formal making me believe that some cranky, old Englishman was speaking those dreadful words. This is also a tragedy due to your wide vocabulary used within the story.
Furthermore, you wrote a story about researching colleges. If I wanted to research Northeastern or Cornell, would it not seem more logical to simply Google them instead of reading this?
Finally, whenever I see the title of this story, all I can hear is John Lennon singing, "So you say you wanna revolution?" Why does the title have "wanna" when the rest of the story seems more akin to a college essay?

Didn't end by telling me which I chose. What's the use of playing this game without a concise end answer? Extremely disappointing. Please give a final decision based on the hard-thought questions' results. My rating would significantly increase.

Educational and useful for college students who've never had to evaluate the subtleties of college websites. However, it wasn't at all difficult and not entertaining. Good grammar, proofreading (will people on this site ever stop typing that as two words?) and originality I guess.

I mean when it comes to writing there are many different ways people approach it. A lot of people here expected to be entertained while this was something more informative which you did pretty well. While i despise Cornell University to the core. You managed to give valuable information to those who might have interest in such schools and even put the time to use links to help people with searches. Good informative story.

It was okay, but I found it slightly boring. I think next time you should try to engage your readers more. I also don't really feel like it's a CYOA story. Felt more like a quiz...

Was this written with good grammar, spelling, and accurate research? Yes.
Did it have branching choices and logical progression? yes.
Was it an actual storygame?
No.
There was no story. This was basically an information pamphlet delivered in storygame format, with no real plotline or characters. There wasn't even an interesting puzzle to solve. Therefore, I can't really rate this any higher than a 3, because it simply has nothing to hold the reader's interest, no matter how well-written or researched it might be.

I can't give this a 1 or a 2 because it was written coherently and well-researched, but honestly I can't see this being interesting to anyone except maybe a tiny subset of students stuck between the two given colleges.

I just randomly clicked the first option every time and "Won". I don't really know what you were even saying. 1/8 here. :/ Wasn't too fun.

BOO! The words are too big. I can read them, but it just is too boring for me to stay focused on it. I'm sorry, but no :( 1/8

Uhh... My guess would be that the person who made this game can't decide which university they want to go to and is asking the people of CYS for advice. My only response to that is, what makes you assume the members of CYS are smart enough to understand a bloody word you're saying? I'm sure as hell not. :p

I imagine this is useful for... whatever it was made for :) A few pictures, breaking up the text into smaller paragraphs and possibly putting in a few jokes or humorous scenarios could help make it more enjoyable to the general reader, not bad though :)
