You wrote a poor man's version of The Hatchet. And you didn't even bother to capitalize the start of your sentences.

What was the point?

This is literally just the tl;dr version of Hatchet. The character even magically pulls a never previously mentioned hatchet out of his ass after the crash.

Pro tip: the beginnings of sentences are supposed to be capitalized.

Not a bad story concept but it needs more substance and a plot that's less of an obvious rip off. Or at least move it to fanfic.
