Player Comments on The Perfect Mother's Day
No, no, no! You’ve got it all wrong! How long have you been on the site? You should know by now that no woman can have the perfect mother’s day without EndMaster!
… Other than that, I was very pleasantly surprised by this game. It was actually a lot of fun. I am an absolute sucker for a good puzzle game, and I like the fact that you threw in a nice red herring with an item that can be used in two different places. That one really threw me for a loop.
As promised, I did have to go back and forth several times before I got the ending I was looking for, which was fun. I like a challenge. I don’t recall noticing any spelling or grammar mistakes, so either there weren’t any, or I was just too preoccupied with the game to notice (either of which is a good thing.)
The actual story could definitely of had a lot more going for it, but then this storygame definitely felt like it was supposed to be much more of a game than a story, so I don’t real feel like I can complain too much. It was cute. I enjoyed it.
If I’m going to be completely honest though… I’d say that spending all day helping other people, shutting up rowdy Starbucks patreons, taking my useless son for driving lessons, helping my dad clean out his garage, waiting hours for a rock hard omelette, ruining some random kiddie train conductor’s career and giving a bunch of Lionel Train merchandise to my geeky buddy is hardly my idea of the perfect mother’s day… Where the hell are my fucking presents? >.<

I went into this expecting to just grab the free point (and yes that's entirely possible, you can find an end game link just one click in) but what I found was a nicely challenging and fun puzzle game I spent a good half an hour messing around with.
I wish there was a more substantial plot, what's there is so lightweight it's almost non existent, but the writing itself is competent (I didn't notice the errors the other reviewer mentioned) with oddly charming bits and flashes of humor. And while the plot isn't much, this game contains one of the best uses of the inventory system I've ever seen.
Normally seeing a bunch of items in a game actually annoys me a bit, new authors include them just to include them and do nothing with them. This one is full of uses for objects though, all totally legitimate seeming solutions that aren't really solutions and assorted misdirects, just as the description warned. Figuring out the order of locations to visit and what to do once there when was also fun. Once I realized what items were needed I spent a good while trying to find up with all three at once and never quite succeeding. Who knew it all would hinge on an extremely unappetizing omelette...
All in all this game did an impressive job weaving normal aspects of the editor like items and link restrictions into an surprisingly layered and complex brain teaser. Unfortunately just something about the way it's presented and the fact it's so easy to grab the point and move on I'm afraid means most readers may not even notice. (Although I'm hoping the commendation will help with that.)
Future games I believe will be better received bythe site as a whole if the puzzles were arranged throughout a more plot-driven story with bigger stakes for the characters, and I'd very much like to see future games from this author.

This was a neat use of a half an hour. The puzzle was easy once I found all the items. You didn't do anything "wrong" with this game, but you didn't really do much "right" either.
It could have used more events and jokes you were going the full humor route.

Apparently, waiting for service in Denny's is the same as being stuck in Inception's limbo world.

It was OK in general. I'll start with the bad things.
First, the grammar and punctuation had lots of mistakes. If you could go through and fix these, everyone would appreciate it. There weren't so many I took a rank point off of it, but it was pretty bad.
Second, linear. It's not a real story, it's more of a puzzle you have to play over and over again. You could mention that it's not a real story in the description, maybe? Eh?
Third, not realistic. At all. I don't need to elaborate very much, but I wanted to add this in.
Good things.
First, nice sense of humor. Especially right when you decide to leave home, that's pretty funny how you describe the clothes. Cool XD
Second, your level things were good. The Story Difficulty and Maturity Level definitely matched the story. Good for you.
That's all I can really say about this. 5/8.
