A far away land
unpublished

This story will take you through the adventures of a young boy named Keean. This is a serious story with some dark undertones. If you're easily disturbed you might not want to read this story. It revolves around a kingdom called Aria in a medieval like time period. Before the time of this story the reader should be aware of an event called the Mortnig Plague. It was a devastating disease that killed many people. Many morally questionable choices happened during this time. It lasted for a decade.
-----------------
Remember that no matter what, there will be a way out of a dire situation. There will be wrong choices, but for the most part it's not extremely difficult to survive. Just trust in the instincts all humans possess.

-----------------------Warning------------------------
This game is a serious, dark game which depending on your path, can lead to some serious gore. Other than that, there's not much other than some sexual undertones, so if you're fine with that, go on.
------------------------------------------------------
You play as a man named Jeremy who is traversing the world of near insanity. He kills everything he touches and can't deal with the consequences, and thus he has receded into his own fantasy world.

Pathways
unpublished

This game follows you, a young man of unknown age. You wake up having no idea who you are in a strange and unusual room.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
This game contains mature content, depending on your path you may encounter gore or sexual themes. Please be prepared for this.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
This is a serious game, with many different paths. There are 8 'good' endings, based on the the alignment from D&D. If you're unfamiliar, the endings are lawful good, neutral good, chaotic good, lawful neutral, true neutral, chaotic neutral, lawful evil, neutral evil, and chaotic evil. If you don't know this at all, then don't worry, it's not necessary for the story. Just know that if you choose an "evil" choice, there will most likely be a chance to redeem yourself slowly. While I believe you should have every choice available to you, the path you end up on will affect some choices you're able to make. At the end of a path, it'll state which one you ended up on.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Please enjoy the story as it's my first! I hope that you will enjoy it!

Thanks so much! That makes a lot of sense. :D

Looking for a storygame on 1/30/2016 7:51:49 PM

Hey I'd like to find a storygame that's an equal balance of story and game. I tried playing dungeon stompage but there wasn't enough story for me really, and I tried playing Order Of The Midnight Sun and I liked that, but I couldn't get past the maze. Are there any other good story games that I could try?

Variable Syntax on 1/29/2016 7:08:40 PM

Hey so I looked everywhere on the Help&Info page, but I couldn't find the syntax for variable declaration and accessing variables, at least not clearly. So I have a few questions. I do know java and python languages, but I don't know this one. How would I do this script in this sites language? (below is in java)

int gender = 0;

//if they go to page 1

gender++:

//else do nothing

//then later in the script:

if (gender == 0) System.out.print("she ") ;

else System.out.print("he ");

--

so if gender = 0 then it shows she, and if not it shows he. Also if you can, please explain the basic syntax rules of this language, it's kind of hard to understand without a clear explanation.

Yes, thank you both, this makes a lot of sense. I think he'll be found in his abandoned spaceship in cyrosleep with life support. I think that would be more believable. As for the length I'm aware I'm not going to finish this anytime soon. Thank you so much for your advice though!

Ok, yeah I've debated having the character float around in his spaceship that failed, in cyrosleep or something, and as for the length, I'm aware this is going to take me at least 8 months to a year to complete. Thanks for your advice!

Hello! I'm looking to do something original for my first story, and I already have a little bit created. It's going to be based technically on the alignments in D&D, so there'll be 9 endings and your choices will take you on different paths. So far I have the character (male) waking up in a spaceship, and they remember nothing. The story (that the readers don't know at the beginning) is that he was found floating in space, somehow alive. The reason being is that he has the power to heal. So he stayed alive in a comatose state, and a spaceship full of space pirates found him. The whole beginning of the game is the player trying to get off the spaceship, and even if they want to stay, eventually, no matter how hard they try, they will end up on a planet I have not named yet. During the beginning the player can join the pirates, save some slaves, and other things. On the planet they end up on, they can discover that they lived on this planet and tried to go to space, when their ship exploded. The character was raised from birth by scientists after the original parents found out the baby couldn't get hurt. The character was meant to explore planets with inhospitable environments. When they get to the planet I want them to be able to chose the fate of the planet. However, I don't know how they will reach the endings and what exactly the endings will be. That's where I'd like some inspiration, and maybe even some co-authors if you'd like. Thank you so much for your help!

Thanks for the advice! What coding language is this in, because I know Java and Python but this doesn't seem like either of them.

Hey so I've never actually published a story, but I've fiddled with the editor enough to try the advanced editor. I just really wanted it to organize my story into 9 sections, each with a different ending. They're like the alignments in D&D (lawful good, chaotic evil, etc.) and the player would switch between the chapters depending on their decisions. However I can only figure out how to create a link to the first page in the chapter, and not any page in the chapter. I'd like to have the player be in true neutral and be able to switch to a page in chaotic neutral for example. It's really just for my organizational purposes, but I really hope it's possible. Thanks for helping!
