Hi everyone! For any of you Price of Freedom readers out there, I just wanted to let you know that while, unfortunately, a sequel hasn't been published yet, there is an updated version available on dashingdon. Here's the link: https://dashingdon.com/play/averymoore/the-price-of-freedom-innocence-lost/mygame
The update includes:
The options to play as male or female.
The player gets to choose their own name.
Five stats, as opposed to the original two.
Two extra chapters.
More detailed backstory for the MC, and a lot of the other characters.

So you think you know your Lion Kings from your Little Mermaids? Take the Disney Trivia Quiz and see how much of a cartoon junkie you really are.
A very big thank you to Aman for proofreading. ^_^
This is game that I made with my nephew. He's six years old and he really, really likes Marvel Superheroes. (I might've helped with the writing a little bit, but he came up with the stories all by himself.) ^_^
A noble quest based on the film Monty Python's Holy Grail. This game is completely pointless and is basically me playing around with the Advanced Editor to see how it works. Hope it's fun anyway!
Updated version, same game less spelling mistakes. Huge thanks to BerkaZerka for play-testing! ^_^
You are trapped in an medieval tower dungeon, which is never a good way to start your day. Luckily there seems to be a secret passage for you to escape through. All you have to do is solve a few riddles and you're free as a bird. Easy right? Just so long as you don't get a riddle wrong, then you die a horrible death... Good luck!
(It is definitely possible to win this game, once you figure out how.)
Hi guys! Don't bother reading this, it's not a game I'm just doing some testing to see what variables factor into game length. I'll unpublish it again soon.
This game is the original version of The Price of Freedom: Innocence Lost, published as an entry for the 2014 Spring Thing competition. An updated version of the game has been released. It contains three more stats, a choice of names for your character, the option to play as either male or female, two extra chapters, far more background and character development, and is over twice as long as the original, with a total of over 100,000 words.
The updated game can be found here: http://chooseyourstory.com/story/the-price-of-freedom~3a-innocence-lost
You are 10 years old when you first feel the weight of shackles around your wrists. In a matter of hours, your whole world is turned upside down as you are dragged away from your home in Greece to work as a slave in the Roman Empire.
Now you must struggle for survival. Every decision you make will affect your future. Will you make friends or enemies? Will you submit to your masters or fight your every command? Will you sell your soul to earn your freedom, or sacrifice everything for the people you love? Will you even survive long enough to see the sun rise?
"Dear Student, we are pleased to inform you that you have been accepted at Hogwart's School of Witchcraft and Wizardry." In this game you play through a year as a student at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, where you'll attend classes, learn magic, meet new friends and try to help your house to win the House Cup at the end of the year.

Ah, okay... But the original game was entered into the Spring Thing contest, so... Doesn't that make it ineligible?

Thank you! Super happy it's published now. Can't wait to see what people think of it... Hopefully it's not too similar to the original that people find it pointless.
