Player Comments on So You Wanna Be An Evil Wizard
I have to say, I definitely enjoyed this storygame the best out of the ones I've read so far for this contest. It's very obvious that there was a lot of work put into it.
I have to say, I liked the whole idea of having to write an essay (or find someone else to write it for you!) in an hour was a really good idea. Obviously, it wasn't actually an hour...but the time limit was a really nice touch, and definitely lent a sense of urgency to making my way through the storygame. At the same time, I was able to explore quite a bit of the school...which was really nice. Admittedly, when I got to exploring the grounds, I realised a lot more time had passed than I expected. However, I had more or less ensured a way of getting the essay...and I quickly got that. While it wasn't a perfect solution (I didn't get a great ending), it was one that kept the player character alive. Having said that...I did also find some of the 'bad' endings too. And it's possible that tasting something I didn't know what it was might have caused some damage to the player character that comes up later.
Anyway, this storygame was really interesting, and I really enjoyed being able to explore the school. The time limit was a really great touch, and I would love to see this storygame expanded upon and published! (Actually, it probably could be published as-is, given the amount of effort that's clearly gone into it).

I will not let my hatred for sandbox games sway me. . .
This is good, and fun, if more childish than serious, but that’s okay! The writing and world is fun and of course the word amount is impressive for the time limit. I appreciate taking the unbeaten path of a puzzle game! ;~)

The amount of detail packed into this was surprising, especially considering the time limit for the contest. 7/8
