Player Comments on Will's Life and Times

This storygame needs work in every way. The writing was poor, the plot was not well thought out and the characters were horrible. The author needs to put more effort into writing so that the reader can feel some modicum of immersion.

Not really my kind of game, I wish it had more of a story

I didn't like this game. Although it does say that this game was supposed to take place in the 1600s, there was no possible way a reader can get that from this story. It is incredbily vague and non-descriptive, simply because the writing is terrible. The characters need more refining, especially the protaganist himself, or as the title states, 'Will'. Just as the supposed main idea of this story, the protaganist's own name isn't clearly said anywhere in the story. I felt no immersion in this story, which is a bad thing, specifically for a game like this.

There's no winning End Game link for women. Don't make me go Tumblr on you, you misogynist bastard!

If this story had been maybe quadruple the length, it might have become a decent game. I liked the character customization based on gender, then personality, with your choices directly affecting the path.

That being said, there wasn't really any build-up in the story, no plot, no characterization, and no real reason to care. I explored most of the paths simply because I couldn't find the End Game and Leave Comments link, not out of any particular curiosity.

Still, it has potential, if the author would only make it longer.

Well, this game sure didn't make me feel like I was in the 60's or tell me how life was like in the 60's. Did you even research the time zone this was set in? Maybe next time make deeper character development, make the player see injustices that were going on to that character, etc.

Anyone else notice that you can't finish the game if you play as a woman?

A bit of effort and this could have been something. As it stands, however, it just feels lazy.

When it comes down to it, the story wasn't that interesting. Sorry.
