I'm a pretty experienced programmer, so I can understand systems like this.  Theoretically, I could a link for each object you can scrap using a for loop.  I'm not sure how to do this in choose your story though.

I want to create a system so you can scrap objects for material, then craft other items out of material.  There is only one resource.

No, but there are 3 different species.  Humans, your character's species, and the anamalistic aliens.  I don't have names for either alien species.

I am creating a story about an alien that is disguised as a cat that is trying to save humans from dangerous, animalistic, aliens.  I don't know how to start my story though.  I'm bad with beginnings.
