Have we reached maximum capacity for the CYS in the forums? I was considering doing one but didn't want to invest more effort in it if there wasn't any interest. 

I was considering doing a better version of that fairy tale one I wrote in a day for a contest forever ago since people seemed to like that even though it was super unpolished.

Perhaps if you waited a couple weeks? The Ruins contest is still going on, and Gower's CYS is on chapter six (I think there are two more chapters.)

Yeah I'd wait a bit. Forum activity is not super high at the moment, and it will be a week after Halloween before I can start paying much attention to things here again.
