In the editor, whenever I hit enter to start a new line, it goes 3 lines down instead of 1. This is an issue for me because it doesn't make my story look not as fine-tuned and bigger than it actually is (in a bad way).

Is there any way I can fix it without resorting to Advanced Editor? Or is that necessary as well?

I looked at Endmaster's "Necromancer" game and noticed that he was able to single space almost all of his character dialogues and such and it looks neat to say the least. I'm looking to do something similar with my drafting.

Well, for the forums, it's to hold "shift" as you hit enter.  Try this for your storygame too.
See?

Press shift and enter at the same time.
Then it'll move down only one line instead of two. Make sure people can tell that it's a new paragraph.
If you don't, then things can get a bit strange to some people while reading.
