i was just interested in what your alls insperation was when it came to the "choose your own adventure" games/books.
as for me, i read a few of them as a child but i never really got into them until i started reading the Lone Wolf Series by Joe Devers/Gary Chalk a few years ago. if you guys havent read that series yet then you need to. there are atleast 18 books in that series that im aware of. most likely more. you thought it was hard coming up with a sequal to your games? Joe Devers is a master at it. anyway, what is everyone elses inspiration?

I first saw choose your own adventure books on TV, after an episode of reading rainbow where the guy draws the story from the book. My teacher played the shows in school in second grade. My mom got me the book I saw and then I realized choose your own adventure books made for easy book reports. I also realized Edward Packard wrote the best of the series. I could just read eight pages and I san say I read a book. Then this site came about when me and Alex and Dan made a website making fun of school through a choose your own adventure game. Only people who went to the school really got it. Then we liked the idea so much it evolved into this site. The lone wolf series provided the idea that we should have stories where you can get objects. The time machine series provided some inspiration for the edutainment category, even though I think that category can provide the most promising future for this website. Imigaine if you can a bunch of people in school study by playing choose your own adventure games.

i bought book after book of the orginally series Edward Packard was the best. My favorite was Hyperspace simply because of his appearance in the book.

As far as insperation goes alot comes from when I was a police officer and was in the military. I like action adventure but can really get into any kind of story. My goal is to bring back into publication a series of CYOA Type books. I even remember writing a story back in the 80's when the CYOA held a contest to see who can write a CYOA Book. There were several series of books I played some where you had to keep track of your stats and the corner of pages were numbered randomly and acted as dice when you flipped through that would be your dice roll. Does anyone know what I'm talking about, I've ben looking for the name of these. anyway these books is where I get my ideas.
