Greetings MyAdventureGame.com Friends!
I have been incredibly busy lately I am just starting to get some time to think about actually reprogramming MyAdventureGame.com. I have been incredibly busy with recently purchasing a new house and of course with projects that actually make money. So, now on to things you care about.
I have made the decision to completely reprogram MyAdventureGame.com from the ground up. Why have I made the decision to do this? Two reasons ... #1, it's a complete mess "under the hood", which explains why we can’t easily add features such as timers, more score values, etc, etc. #2, there is this new-fangled programming language think called .NET and I really want to learn it. (Bonus reason #3), with the site being in this new .NET language, you will be able to see your games on new venues, such as Cellular Phones and PDAs.
While we reprogram the site, we will certainly implement a long list of changes that so many people have requested. Once I compile this list as something which makes sense, I will post this. There are a lot of cool things. Really Cool things. We plan on taking Advanced Games to a completely new level. We would love to allow you to make games with Picture Backgrounds that you can click on, maps, 3d dungeons, etc, etc.
But that's all to come. I will post the changes we will put in ASAP and a more detailed timeline. With that said, I expect reprogramming in .NET to take 75-100 hours. Unfortunately, this does not mean 2 weeks :-(. With a house, job, and a significant other who isn't too thrilled when I spend long hours on the computer, you probably wont be seeing any changes for at least a few weeks. I'll keep everyone posted.
