Nope. I don't need to be bored to spend ages reading manuals. I love it!
A lot of computer rpg's have some good manuals, heaps of extra content in the Elder Scrolls games: Daggerfall and Oblivion, and ancient classics like Ultima's III to VI. I've still got a proper cloth map of Britannia that came with Ultima IV. The daggerfall manual was a book almost as thick as my finger! Oblivion comes with an extra book over a hundred pages long, with maps and histories of the countries of the world.
Also, one of my favourite manuals is the MechCommander 1 manual, which has awesome colour illustrations of Battlemechs in it :) I'm a fan of all mecha, but Battletech (the universe Mechwarrior is from) is just awesome :)
Then there's the piles of pen and paper RPG books I browse through all the time. Great way to get ideas for creating your own games! In fact, speaking of creating games, I should be writing one write now! Back to work!!!
