Escaping East Berlin

This is a text-based game where you pick your path through this journey Welcome to Escaping East Berlin Pick-a-Path Game. You will experience the adventure of trying to Escape East Berlin, choose how you'd escape, choose how you'd interact with others, choose how you'd get to work, choose if you'd report, talk, or join your colleagues. This is a game developed by Mr. Baranowski's 2024-25 AP European History class. We have done as much due diligence as we can in creating an historically accurate, realistic, and yet creative historical fiction in experiencing life in East Berlin culminating in 1 0 different escape attempts, based on real ones. There are over 400 sections; you'll experience a fraction of those along the way, with more than 50 different ways to get a game over. You're not done until you hit an epilogue! A quick note, some things have been changed for the use of American students. You will notice things in feet and inches rather than the Metric System that East Germany used and Germany still uses. This was not an oversight but rather an ease of use thing for the intended audience. Anyways hope you have fun Let the games begin.
