Grounds For Murder

Immanuel is a testing subject in some facility, set in an underground society with genetically altered specimens. Some decades prior, the human genome was decoded by a group in hiding from the government, and the spread of that information led to a nuclear war. Most subjects are the result of intentional genetic tweaking. They are kept for the purpose of scientific study. Surrounded by belligerent security officers, Immanuel needs to avoid being tortured by the many sadistic doctors and stay on the good side of his peers. Oh, stay alive too, which is arguably more important but definitely not as interesting and fun.
