Player Comments on Around The World In 80 Days Challenge
Ok. I accept that maybe I am not bright enough to understand the logic behind this story-game but it was incomprehensible on so many levels. You have used the story of the famous Jules Verne book (which in the original text I have found unreadable) and used it to pose a series of ethical questions which have basically nothing to do with the realistic experiences of travelling through these countries.
When at any stage of a tourist's journey through India would we be required to know which stage of the demographical model it is on? How on earth is your average person expected to know how the Grameen Foundation has helped empower women in India? As someone who has worked in Asia with people from North Korea I can tell you the dilemma of whether you travel official or secretively in the country doesn't arrive at all: you either travel with a tourist company escorted by government officials or you don't travel at all.
I'm afraid I do not understand this at all; if you reposted this as a humanities quiz perhaps it would be in the correct genre. I am not sure that you have ever been to any of the places you are writing about. You used the Advanced Editor and your spelling and grammar was good (except the links were too long so we could not read the full and lengthy moral dilemmas proposed by travelling) but I did not understand what sort of story this was at all :(

You need to make sure your links make sense.
There were a few that weren't complete, and others that didn't have any context.

This cyoa game is difficult to follow. None of the choices seem very good. I only made it to the second country.

I found this interesting. I didn't exactly understand the second question because the answers were weirdly cut off. The concept of using the Jules Verne around the world topic to teach about corruption would have worked better if you had actually given the correct answer to the questions and educate people.

Fun if you want to do something educational, but I just clicked random buttons. Good game to spend on your free time.

I’m going to be honest and say I just clicked random links after the first few pages to get to the end because I was not at all interested in what the story/quiz was talking about.
There are a lot of ways to make educational games fun and this is not one of those ways. The different sizes of text being hard to read plus the random facts that were hard to read just lost me overall.
There was a severe lack of interest on my part because I felt like I was playing jeopardy but this was somehow more boring because at least I know some of the obscure facts they were talking about in that show.
I felt like I was going through textbook review questions and was not remotely interested in the writing.

I can see where the author was trying to go, but, between the oversimplified premises and the tonal shifts, I have a hard time meeting them there. I think that making more effort to connect the theory and the practice would be beneficial.

Frankly, this game reads like it was compiled from the annual reports of an NGO rather than any real-life experience in the countries you supposedly "travel" through.
Furthermore, there is an embedded arrogance throughout where the foreign visitor is expected to know "the truth" about every port of call, wherein that "truth" is some BS like "Microfinancing helps poor people in India" when, in reality, it led to thousands of suicides.
Avoid this game unless you're a pretentious academic wannabe interested in positing on something post-modern like "The Game Space as Analog to Social Development"

In essence, I feel that this was a trivia quiz with a storyline to it.
I enjoyed that there was a story to it at all, but it was relatively basic, with not much plot or character development. Still, it kept me interested, so kudos to you!
As for the trivia, some of the text is not displayed well, and it is hard to guess with a lack of background information. The fact that it is not just questions, but also moral choices that affect your resources was intriguing. I wish I could have seen more of that.
Thank goodness you paid attention to grammar and spelling.
I didn't completely finish the game (I got murdered as part of the hostiles) so perhaps my comment isn't entirely accurate, but overall, I would love to see more work and I definitely think you show promise.

It had promise, but you need to work on the formatting:
Don't use the full answer as the links, because the very first question (poverty/crime links in Afghanistan) doesnt display the text correctly, which shows somewhat of a lack of proofreading.
Also - why have scales from 0-20 or 0-10 when you "instant lose" if you drop below 8/4? Doesn't make much sense.

Beyond the badly formatted answers, absolute no context on why any of the questions were being asked, and least of all no hint at where the relevant information could be found, this one's a disappointment. There's no story here, just a sequence of consecutive interrogations about matters which are important, but you'll lose patience far before you reach the end (which I christmastreed around Korea till the end... just to be able to leave this comment)

The information in this game was pretty fascinating, even though the correct answers to some of the questions that I got wrong weren't revealed.
BTW, I completed the challenge... in under 80 days! These are my results:
ETHICS is 17.
KNOWLEDGE is 16.
MONEY is 10.
Overall, this was an excellent CYS story!

Hello! I'd just like to mention that this game was definitely intended to be based on hypothetical situations-- it was, like my other published storygame, an assignment, and meant to be knowledge-based. However, thanks for your suggestions-- it was interesting to get feedback for this project! :)

Ridiculously short, irrational, & ye seriously need to go back to school & learn what MORALS & ETHICS are because ye obviously have no clue as to their meaning & what they are! It would be wise to research your topic before ye write about it, that way ye will actually know what it is ye are basing your story on. Yeah ye got SOME facts right but nothing near what should have been. It's not Moral & Ethical to give a poor girl 10 of your money & then tell her to steal to get herself out of poverty (when it was plainly clear that ye had went over the chances of both the boy & the girl getting a job) & then ending the game saying ye broke the rules of the game by telling her to get a job.
Go back to school & learn what Morals & Ethics are & then write a story based on them. & I seriously don't understand how people can rate this a 4, I rated it a 1 out of 8 ONLY because ye have a good grasp on spelling.
