Player Comments on StoryTime!!

The idea of being stuck on an island is a tried and true formula, so it's ok, but you need a clear story and problem, with developed characters. You should also make this game longer! All in all, not the best game in the world, with a few big problems, as well as a very directionless feel. Fix those problems and it will be a good story.

Random games are always risky. For me they're always hit or miss, either completely hilarious or just plain stupidity that makes you cringe. This one I'd actually say falls between the two. It kind of should have been a hit since the random humor was actually random and not just the main character shooting people and farting. That said, I didn't understand what you were talking about half the time and I didn't really get the humor. Good attempt at a random game though.

I just have to give a thumbs up for the 'Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat' reference.

It's just me, but what is SM&H?
The first two links don't seem to make a difference.

"Carly has exploded all over yall! She must have swallowed a bomb earlier on the boat over to the island!" Wth is this assumption. WHY was there a bomb. WHYWHYWHY. "OH NO! But Emma ate the pie she ate too! Should yall run away from Emma or try and de-activate her bomb?" Did the pie have multiple bombs? That's the only way that could happen. In fact, HOW DO YOU EAT A BOMB. If it's some sort of tiny bomb, perhaps, but I'd like to know. If it was tiny, then how do you deactivate it. How do you even have the ABILITY to deactivate it—the characters talk as if they know how. Sure, it's inside her, and you address the problem that you couldn't actually deactivate the bomb... since it's inside her.

Hmm. That's it? I'm alone and hungry and eat berries. That's all? My journey already ended? Why, it hasn't even begun! How do the preceding events lead to the end of my journey.


Another path. Something about a motorcycle. HMM. Did the other people just eat me? Didn't realize cannibalism was part of this who shabang. At least you didn't go into graphic description.

An ending titled "ROCK" as in rock paper scissors (It could be scissors or paper I think. The text is copied pasted). What even... I don't understand. Emma? Monkeys? Bomb pie? Lemon tarts? Worship? Who's Christian Grey again? Queen? Escape? As a weeb (not me at all) would say: "NANI?!?!?!?!"


This story lacks almost everything that makes a story. Why did I spend my time writing this.
I hope you as a writer can make something funnier. Random does not equal funny/humor. Humor does not give you an excuse to not have a story.

This is the storygame of the century, combining science fiction, action, and high fantasy in a beautiful explosion of creativity. I'm sure that ScarletJeScarlet is a star on the rise, and we can see more tales of wonder in the years to come.

@Briar, the non-members are likely friends of the maker or just random people being stupid and if any of your comments are not real then somebody is faking your profile or you were hacked.

Did she make this for her friends? cause that would make more sense. maybe she didn't make it specifically for the public, which is why briar_rose is so frustrated. weird, but i guess it would be funny if you're a friend in the story.

Before I read this story I was blind, deaf and dying of a terminal toothache. Not only am I completely cured but I also lost twenty pounds, married a billionaire and single handedly saved the world from alien invasion all because of reading this story! Thank you ScarletJeScarlet! You have made the world a better place!

A tremendously exciting science-fiction thriller that's as disturbing as the comments make it sound. This is exceptional storygame entertainment with a knockout punch so intense and unnerving it'll have you worrying if it's safe to close your eyes at night.

This is spellbinding, transporting, damn near indescribable and the latest indication that ScarletJScarlet might be the slyest narrative tactician making storygames today.

Smart, innovative, and thrilling, "StoryTime!!" is that rare storybook blockbuster that succeeds viscerally as well as intellectually. If "StoryTime!!" is a metaphysical puzzle, it's also a metaphorical one: It's hard not to draw connections between Carly's pie-bomb and ScarletJScarlet's gift for thrill-- an activity devoted to constructing a simulacrum of reality, intended to seduce us, mess with our heads and leave a lasting impression.
