Woosh.

Hello, there. My name is Nicolerhi, and I'm back on this website after a prolonged absence. I have some ideas for stories, and I would like to -- once again -- try my hand at choose-your-own-adventure games.

You can read my two older stories -- Remember and Years Gone By -- but they are like super bad and the only reason I'm keeping them around is encouragement for myself to be better.

Hopefully more and higher quality stuff will be coming soon.

Peace,

Nicolerhi

My Refuge, My Home

This is a short story I wrote for a writing competition, adapted for a storygame. It's a short-and-sweet, but I thought it was worth a share, so I hope you like it. :)

Constructive feedback is greatly appreciated!

Years Gone By

This story game is about a person who is about to die going back and thinking of the life choices.

I'd like to thank Briar_Rose for giving me this idea.

Please enjoy Years Gone By.

Kingdom of Mine
unpublished

ASCARIA was once a large, populous nation, spanning most of the old world. In 982 A.D, Ascaria broke apart into three (3) new nations. The divide is generally between the political parties, but some overlap is detectable.

King Agarius was the last ruler of Ascaria. His rule is marked by many terrorist attacks and accusations of witchcraft. He, against popular opinion, married a young commoner from a foreign land of whom he was smitten with. She became Queen Emily. She became pregnant two years after their marriage and Agarius died shortly thereafter, before his son's birth. The nation disputed whether they should allow an unborn child to rule Ascaria, and thus broke apart.

You must step into the shoes of a ruler of one of the fragmented kingdoms and lead your kingdom to greatness.

Remember

This is my second story game. I tried to make it with more choices and a better plot. It is very short, but I think it will still be enjoyable.

I still want to add to it or make a sequel. Feedback would be nice. I tried to make it a little more interactive and understandable. So please enjoy.

Hello! (...again, I suppose) on 6/15/2019 7:03:41 PM

I actually am interested in reading The Price of Freedom. I remember that game fondly, and it seems to have gotten an upgrade.

As for my own personal projects, I have a short story that I want to convert to a choose-your-own-adventure game. My goal is to start small and expand to bigger projects. It's a story I wrote a year or two ago that I want to revisit -- plus I think it would be cool with different outcomes.

I don't really remember specifically why I left, but I'll just do myself a favor and stick to writing on this website. Save the social stuff for social media like Instagram and Twitter.

It has been a few years since I was last on the site, I have grown up a lot. (Boy, was I cringy back then lol...hopefully a little less cringy now).

Oh crap...shoot I didn't even realize I had another one.

Oof.

Well, that's a bit awkward.

Woosh.

Hello, there. My name is Nicolerhi, and I'm back on this website after a prolonged absence. I have some ideas for stories, and I would like to -- once again -- try my hand at choose-your-own-adventure games.

Anyone got any advice for writing in this style? I love reading choose-your-own-adventures, but I'm not great at writing them.

(My evidence are the two published stories I have on my profile -- Remember and Years Gone By -- they are like super bad and the only reason I'm keeping them around is encouragement for myself to be better.)

Anyways, that's really all I wish to say.

Hope everyone's having a nice summer,

Nicolerhi

If you could go anywhere in the world... on 5/27/2015 7:12:32 PM

If had the opportunity to go anywhere in the world, where would you go? I have just returned from a trip to Washington D.C and it was utterly amazing. I felt like a kid in a candy store looking at the Smithsonians, the Washington Monument, the Holocaust Museum and other places. (Of course, I'm so in love with hstory). But a place I've always wanted to go is Montreal because I want to see how much it's like France.

Where would you visit/live if you wanted to?

In my English, we are reading. Well...I finished it. I loved it so much!

Thank you, I'm glad to be back. And from what it seems, I don't see the people who were teasing others anymore.

Back Again on 4/8/2015 6:58:44 AM

Hello! If you don't know me, (I don't blame you), but I was on this site for awhile before I stopped coming on. The main reason for my stop is that I had no ideas for stories and it bugged the heck out of me. So I decided to take a little break from chooseyourstory.com. Despite this, I always had a thought in the back of my mind saying I should. But then I remembered a smaller, second reason why I left. I vaguely remember some members (I think some were newbies) being mean to one another. This didn't set well with me, but I loved this site, so I continued to go on. Then I had someone say something mean to me, it sent me over the edge. In my head, a place I thought was safe, was now becoming a nightmare. That's about when I left. Now, if you had paid attention to what I'm talking about, but you don't think it was "mean", just remember that that is how I saw it. I'm a lot more sensitive about things around me, maybe that's why I always see the worst in things. Why my stories can end up being creepy (I've scrapped some for having a too eerie feel).

Anyways, it seems (to me) that those people who I saw being mean are gone or just not posting. Or maybe their not and I just don't remember the username. Whatever the case, I feel safer coming back on.

I've already been welcomed by some people, on the few forums I've posted on recently.

Please don't take this as me criticizing chooseyourstory.com, I am not. I am just merely stating why I left. My leaving was not for this site....it was for people I saw who seemed to be picking on others. I came back for this site, didn't I?

Thank you for taking the time to read my post on the newbie central, I guess I'm technically a newbie. I haven't been on in so long.

Nevertheless, I'm working on a new storygame that will be longer than its predecessors ( I hope).
