Philosophy class:A short story on 4/23/2025 8:10:33 AM
“Dude, I hate philosophy class,”said John's friend. “Really” John said. “I always found philosophy pretty easy.” “What?Whatever,I still need the credits.” The two men sat down in their seats and saw a 60 or so year old man walk up and introduce himself to the class “Hello everyone,I am professor lauris and today we will be discussing unanswerable questions like ‘what is justice’.” John’s hand immediately shot up.The professor called on him and John gave his answer. “Justice is getting what you deserve.” The professor chuckled “Maybe, but we have no reference point for what we deserve for certain actions so how do we know justice is truly what we deserve, and if justice is good then justice can’t be what you just said.” “Yeah,no, what I said is the meaning. We have dictionaries.” John replied, holding his dictionary up. “Don't talk back to me on things you don’t understand” “I get that dictionaries can be a little confusing but I'm pretty sure I understand it.” “I have trained in philosophy for forty years. How dare you act like you’re superior. How about this question. If you want to touch a wall you have to travel halfway there first, correct?” “Yeah” “And you have to travel halfway the remaining distance,Right?” “Yes” “And then you have to travel halfway the remaining distance again,so on and so forever and you should never make it to the wall. These questions show the complex world of philosophy.” “Actually that answer is pretty simple.” “What! You say that you can solve a question that the great philosophical geniuses of the past couldn’t solve.” John then got out of his seat, walked to one side of the room and touched the wall.

yeah, chat gpt's writing is trash. He just cannot follow his own plot.and for comparison if chat gpt's made a cyos and took the same bet you did I would give his odds at beating each at 1/100 which if you do the same calculations I did with you 1/1.5625e+12 which is much worse than yours.Like a lot worse.Even if we make a few jokes at you.you and everyone at this site easily beats ai.

You may have noticed I am sufficiently better at math than grammar.

calculating his chances winning the bet if he beats any single person 1/3 then his probability would be (1/3)^7 which equals 1/2187 because 1^7 is 1 and 3^7 is 2187.

if we say that he has a 1/3 chance of beating each of the seven his odds are 1/2187 Even saying he has a 1/3 is probably a bit too kind so if you think he has a 1/10 chance of beating each individual then his odds are 1/10000000 oh and to be kind to him we could say that beating one doubles his chance at beating the others causing his odds to become 1/156250 if i got my math wrong just tell me

Being a pirate was high risk high reward.Yes,successful pirates would have these things but they would risk their lives getting them.An average sailors job was more consistent
