[SITE] Short Story Duel

So, I'm proposing that people could set up a duel in which they have to write a short story. The challenger could set a time period for the two to write in(Ex. 12 hours, one day Ect.) The Mods or maybe some other site members would be judges. A moderator could take some points from the loser and give them to the winner.

Well, a similar thing has been posted before.

That is what I was basing this off of, But he proposed a story game duel, not a short story duel.

It would be a pain in the ass for the mods every time someone decided to do this.

Right, But If accepted 3J could implement it in an update. Maybe...

This sorta just seems like a distraction from actually writing storygames.

But this is a writing site, and this may help people to write more if there is a reward for doing it.

Although I would love to have this implemented, it is too manipulatable. Someone could have already come up or have already written a short story in advance before challenging someone to a duel and the other writer would only have the short window of time to think of one.

Good idea in theory, but too easy to cheat and just plain impractical for the mods. But I would love to see a duel that had to do with skills or creativity rather than chance.

Cheating could be prevented by forcing the writers to base their story around a genre or subject matter. Example: player A has pre-written a horror story, but when they duel, they're forced to write a L&D story.
