I just want to know how long a story can be in general. I write stories for my own entertainment and to turn one into a interactive story will be a little different and extensive. Also, is there anyone that has mastered the  system for variables and the such because i will have a few that may get complex and want to get the right formula before I mess up the entire thing before I start.

I'd assume any length is alright, though too short is bad and so long that it's super boring is also bad, but I don't think there's an official limit when it comes to length.
@BerkaZerka @Killa_Robot and @Nmelssx are probably the best scripters that are active. You'd have to explain what you want so they could help you though.

So far, I have not reached any limitations (knock on wood) - having more than 2000 pages in one story and over 200 Variables and over 300 Lines of Code in a few Link Scripts.

Pretty sure Alex didn't make any limitations given he didn't know people would make such large stories when he first made the site.
